• Both teams enter the game on hot streaks, as Navy is 1-0-2 in its last three outings after starting the year 0-2-0, while Delaware is 2-0-1 on the season.
• The contest will be Navy's fourth home game in a five-game span beginning on Sept. 1 against Fairleigh Dickinson. Navy is 1-1-1 in its first three games of the span, including a 3-3 tie against a very good Loyola, Md., team last Wednesday.

The Navy Notebook
• After starting the season 0-2-0 and scoring just one goal in the first two games, Navy has turned it around posting a 1-0-2 record in the last three games, scoring six goals in the three contests. Navy currently ranks tied for second in the Patriot League in goals per game (1.40) and is second in shots per game (17.00).
• Navy has scored on just seven of its 85 shots this year for a shot percentage of .082. Opponents have scored on 10 of their 82 shots for a shot percentage of .122.

• Entering the game with Delaware, each of Navy's first five opponents was ranked in the most recent NSCAA regional rankings released on Monday. The combined record of Navy's first five opponents (through Monday) is 14-5-4, and if you throw Delaware into the mix, the combined record swells to 16-5-5. In addition, Navy was scheduled to play a contest at Old Dominion that was canceled because of Hurricane Irene.
• Navy will face a UNC Greensboro team on Saturday night at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility that enters the match ranked sixth in the South Atlantic regional rankings.
