Wednesday's Game Basics
Navy (0-2) is aiming for its first win of the season as the team hosts Goucher (0-0) on Wednesday at 7:00 PM at Alumni Hall in its home opener. Navy is coming off a three-point loss to Saint Francis (60-57) on Monday evening. Goucher is a Division III school based in Towson, Md. The Gophers play in the Landmark Conference.
Live streaming video of Wednesday's game, and all home Navy basketball games this season, will be available for free on navysports.com via the Patriot League Network. The game will also be carried on WNAV 1430 AM / 99.9 FM and www.wnav.com. Pete Medhurst will handle play-by-play duties and Michael Heary will serve as the analyst.

Parking Information
Fans without Department of Defense clearance must park outside of the U.S. Naval Academy grounds. Fans may park at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium for $5. Buses will run every 15 minutes starting one hour before each game and will continue running throughout the game.
Midshipmen Storylines
• Navy fell to 0-2 after dropping a 60-57 game to Saint Francis U at the Cambria County War Memorial on Veterans Day.
• The game was tied at 57-57 with 74 seconds to go, but Navy gave up a three-point play after fouling on a jumper and did not score on its final three possessions.
• Junior Worth Smith was a force on the offensive end with a team-high 16 points on 6-of-13 shooting. Smith scored 11 points in the first half and also pulled down seven rebounds.
• Sophomore forward Will Kelly posted a double-double with a career-high 12 points and 10 rebounds. He also blocked three shots. It was his second career double-double.
• Junior Brandon Venturini gave Navy three players in double figures as he scored 11 points to go along with seven rebounds.
• Sophomore guard Tilman Dunbar had seven points and four assists and sophomore Kendall Knorr pulled down eight rebounds.
• Kelly and Smith share the team lead in scoring with 10.0 points per game.
• Knorr had a team-best 7.0 rebounds per game average.
• Navy has struggled on three-pointers so far this season, shooting just 18.2 percent.
• Navy was 3-of-19 beyond the arc against Towson and 3-of-14 against Saint Francis U.
• Navy has used the same starting lineup in each of the first two games with Dunbar, Venturini, Knorr, Smith and Kelly.
• Navy returned all five starters from a year ago and welcomed eight newcomers.
• Navy has made at least one three-pointer in 307 consecutive games.
• Navy has an all-time record of 1,306-966 (.575).
• This is the 107th season of men's basketball at the Naval Academy.

Goucher Storylines
• Goucher was 6-18 last season and 4-10 in the Landmark Conference.
• Wednesday's game will be Goucher's season opener.
• The Gophers return three starters in sophomore forward Julian Livingston, junior forward Brian Morton II and senior guard Dylan Chaney.
• Livingston's is the team leading scorer (7.0) and rebounder (4.0) from last season.
• Head coach Leonard Trevino is in his 24th season at Goucher. He owns a career record of 264-318.
Series History vs. Goucher
• Wednesday's game is the first meeting between the two schools.
• Navy is 32-4 all-time against members of the Landmark Conference, having played Catholic, Merchant Marine, Moravian and Susquehanna.
• Navy has played a Division III school in each of the last three seasons and is 3-0 against those schools (Neumann, Penn State Altoona and Marymount).
Navy in Alumni Hall Openers
• Alumni Hall opened for the 1991-92 season.
• Navy is 180-122 all-time at Alumni Hall.
• This will be the 23rd season of Navy basketball at Alumni Hall.
• Navy is 17-5 in Alumni Hall home openers and the Mids have won three straight home openers.
Kelly Off to a Strong Start
After averaging 2.7 points and 3.4 rebounds as a freshman, Will Kelly has shown vast improvement over the first two games of the season. Kelly had a double-double with a career-high 12 points and 10 rebounds, while also blocking three shots, against Saint Francis U. Kelly also had eight points and three boards against Towson. Kelly is shooting 50 percent from the floor (8-of-16) and he is 4-of-4 from the free throw line. The double-double against SFU was the second of his career. He had 11 points and 10 boards against Lehigh last season.
Smith Gets into a Rhythm Against Saint Francis
After being limited in the season opener against Towson due to foul trouble, Worth Smith took over the reins of Navy's top offensive option against Saint Francis U on Monday. Smith scored 16 points on 6-of-13 shooting and also grabbed seven rebounds. Smith scored in a variety of ways in the contest. He hit a three-pointer, hit a stop-and-pop 16-footer, he drove to the hoop from the baseline and also from the top of the key. His 16 points were three shy of his career-high 19 that he scored at Holy Cross last season.
Looking Ahead
Navy will play at Binghamton of the America East Conference in Vestal, N.Y. on Saturday at 2:00 PM. Navy defeated Binghamton, 75-52, last season in the first meeting between the two schools. Tilman Dunbar, then a freshman, had 16 points and 11 assists in the victory. Binghamton was 3-27 last season.
