Game Information
The Navy women's basketball team will open play in the Patriot League tournament by playing host to Lafayette Thursday at 7 p.m. in a quarterfinal round game. The Mids are the No. 2 seed in this year's event after having earned a share of the regular season title, while the Leopards are the No. 7 seed in the championship.

Thursday's game marks the fifth time the two teams will have met in the tournament, as well as the third time in which Alumni Hall will be the venue for a postseason game between the programs. Navy has won both previous tournament games that have been played in Annapolis and holds a 3-1 edge in all league tournament games.

Lafayette won the most recent postseason meeting between the teams as the No. 7 Leopards defeated the No. 6 Mids in the semifinal round of the 2009 championship.

Navy defeated Lafayette in both regular season meetings this season. The Mids first tallied a 62-44 win in the opening game of the league campaign for both teams, with Navy then winning a 60-52 overtime decision in the second meeting of the year that was played in Easton. Four of the last six and 10 of the last 14 games in the series have been decided by single digits.

Parking
Access to the U.S. Naval Academy is restricted to those vehicles with prior authorization. All other visitors to The Yard, including fans for sporting events, must park at nearby Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium ($5. per vehicle) and ride the free shuttle bus to and from the game. The shuttle bus begins one hour prior to the start of the game and leaves from the Blue (west) parking lot of the stadium near the Blue Angel plane.
