ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Navy men's soccer team (4-4-2, 0-1 PL) will seek its first conference win on Saturday evening when the visiting Lafayette Leopards (3-4-2, 0-1 PL) come to town. Navy and Lafayette will meet at 7:00 PM at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility. Free live video and live statistics will be available.

Navy is coming off a 1-1 draw with #20 George Mason on Tuesday evening. The Patriots scored in the 75th minute before junior P.J. Suess netted the equalizer in the 79th minute. It was a battle of two NCAA Tournament teams and conference champions from a year ago.

Navy fell at Boston U., 2-1, in its conference opener last weekend.

Navy is 1-0-1 against nationally ranked opponents this season, as the Mids beat then-#10 Maryland, 2-1, on September 8.

Junior forward Jamie Dubyoski leads Navy with 11 points on four goals and three assists. He also has three game-winning goals. Junior forward Derek Vogel has a conference-best four assists on the season.

Junior goalkeeper Jackson Morgan is 3-3-2 with a 1.00 goals-against average and a .771 save percentage. Morgan made seven saves against George Mason on Tuesday, matching his career high from Navy's season-opening game at Air Force. Morgan has one solo shutout this season from Navy's 2-0 win over Longwood.

Navy has the Patriot League's top offense with the Mids currently leading the league in points per game (5.60), goals per game (1.70), assists per game (2.20) and shots per game (18.20).

Navy and Lafayette first met in men's soccer in 1923 and the Mids lead the all-time series, 18-16-4. Navy is 2-0-1 against Lafayette over the last three seasons.

Navy won in Easton last year, 2-0, with a pair of late goals. Sophomore Sam Bascom scored in the 86th minute and then Dubyoski added another in the 90th minute. Navy outshot Lafayette 10-5 in the contest. The game was also Navy's sixth straight shutout.

Lafayette lost at Colgate, 2-1, in double overtime in its conference opener last Saturday. Lafayette scored in the 27th minute on a goal by Ryan Egan, but Colgate equalized in the 74th. Colgate then scored the game-winning goal in the 104th minute.

Egan and Greg Biggiani have each scored a team-best two goals this season. Goalkeeper Alexander Leavy is 3-4-2 with an 0.96 goals-against average and a .775 save percentage.

Lafayette has been outscored 9-7 in its nine games this season.

Lafayette finished eighth in the Patriot League last season with eight points on a 2-5-2 conference record.

Navy will play its third straight home game on Wednesday, October 8 against American at 7:00 PM. American is ranked No. 23 in this week's NSCAA Top 25 Poll and the Eagles defeated then-#1 UCLA, 2-1, on September 5.

Navy to Recognize 1964 NCAA Championship Team Over Homecoming Weekend
Fifty years ago, the Navy men's soccer team won the 1964 NCAA Division I Championship. This season marks the 50th anniversary of the historic season and the team will be recognized over Homecoming weekend on October 25 at the Navy-San Jose State football game at 1:00 PM and the Navy-Holy Cross men's soccer game at 7:00 PM.

Navy went undefeated during the 1964 season with a 15-0-0 mark. The Mids would also go on to win their first 10 games of the 1965 season and still hold the NCAA record for most consecutive wins with 25 in a row. Navy outscored its opponents 48-11 in 1964 and allowed only six goals during the regular season.

Myron Hura was named to the 1964 All-America First Team and Paul Daulerio was named to the All-America Second Team. Daulerio led the team with 16 goals and 32 points during the championship season.

Navy head coach Glenn Warner led Navy to the national title in his 19th season at Navy. Warner would go on to coach at Navy for 30 years and win 241 games.

Parking / Shuttle Information
Fans are reminded that the general public does not have access to drive their vehicles on to the U.S. Naval Academy. Fans may park at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium for $5 and take a shuttle that will run every 10 minutes starting at 6:00 PM and will continue running until 10:30 PM. Dogs are not permitted inside the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.
