Quick Notes
* Navy will open its 38th varsity season of play this weekend. The Mids have compiled a 21-16 record in its season-opening game, which includes a 14-10 mark when that game is played away from Annapolis.
* The Mids return just one starter and two letterwinners from last year's squad that won the outright Patriot League regular season title and advanced to the WNIT.
* Navy was predicted to place sixth in the Patriot League this season, North Carolina A&T was tabbed as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference favorite and Elon was selected to finish in sixth place in the Colonial Athletic Association.
* Friday's game will be the fourth between the Mids and the Aggies and the first since the 2006-07 season. Navy holds a slim 2-1 advantage.
* Navy won the lone previous game it played against Elon, which took place during the 2009-10 season.
* The trip will serve as a homecoming for senior team captain
