CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- Navy women's basketball player Taylor Dunham was named Monday as this week's Patriot League Lids Team Sports Rookie (Freshman) of the Week for her sport.

Dunham led Navy with a scoring average of 12 points a game last week. She began the week by recording 11 points and a team-high three assists in Navy's win over Towson and posted a team-high 10 points in a six-point loss at Portland State before scoring a season-best 15 points in an eight-point defeat at Oregon.

Dunham's team-best 36 points on the week came despite her ranking fifth on the squad with a total of 62 minutes played. Additionally, she connected on 50 percent (8-16) of her three-point attempts as part of her 38.5-percent (10-26) overall shooting effort from the floor.

Navy will take a break from competition for exams before closing out its non-Patriot League slate of games Dec. 21 against Saint Peter's in Alumni Hall.
