ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Navy men's soccer team (4-4-1, 0-1 PL) will take a short break from conference play to host No. 20 George Mason (7-0-1) on Tuesday at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility at 7:00 PM. Free live video and live statistics will be available. Joe Miller will handle announcing duties for the live video stream.

George Mason enters Tuesday's game as one of just four unbeaten teams in the country at 7-0-1, along with Penn State (8-0-1), UC-Irvine (8-0-1) and Davidson (5-0-2). George Mason's only tie this season was to Seton Hall and the team most recently defeated UMBC, 3-0, on Saturday.

George Mason has had a strong start to the 2014 season as the team has outscored its opponents 17-1. The Patriots have posted seven shutouts in their eight games and the team ranks second in the NCAA in scoring defense (0.12). The Patriots have posted five straight shutouts.

Senior forward Timi Mulgrew ranks fifth in the nation with his seven goals scored and he is sixth in points per game (2.0). Sophomore goalkeeper Steffen Krauss is 7-0-1 on the season. Krauss ranks third in the NCAA with his 0.12 goals-against average and he is second with his 0.963 save percentage.

Navy and George Mason last met in 2012 when Navy defeated the 20th-ranked Patriots, 2-1, in double overtime. Navy is 3-7-3 all-time against the Patriots.

A win over George Mason would give Navy its second win against a ranked opponent this season. Navy defeated then-No. 10 Maryland, 2-1, on September 8.

Navy suffered a 2-1 defeat at Boston University on Saturday in its conference opener. The loss snapped an 11-game winning streak against conference opponents.

Navy outshot Boston U., 24-5, including a 13-2 edge in the second half. However, Boston U. was able to score on both of those two shots in the second half. Navy has lost four games this season, but has outshot its opponent in each of the four losses with a combined total of 70-32. In its nine games overall, Navy has outshot its opponents, 159-88.

Sophomore Alex Evans scored his second goal of the season against Boston U. in the 79th minute off assists from juniors Jamie Dubyoski and Derek Vogel. Dubyoski leads Navy with 11 points on four goals and three assists. Vogel has a team-best four assists.

Navy is currently leading the Patriot League in points per game (6.00), goals per game (1.78) and assists per game (2.44). Vogel's four assists lead the conference.

The George Mason contest is the first of three straight home games for Navy. The Mids will return to conference play by hosting Lafayette on Saturday and then hosting American on Wednesday, October 8.

Parking / Shuttle Information
Fans are reminded that the general public does not have access to drive their vehicles on to the U.S. Naval Academy. Fans may park at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium for $5 and take a shuttle that will run every 10 minutes starting at 6:00 PM and will continue running until 10:30 PM. Dogs are not permitted inside the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.
