Last Game
Hannah Fenske scored the last five points of the game to give the Mids a 47-44 victory over Lehigh Wednesday night in Alumni Hall.

Navy used a 17-2 run that wrapped around halftime to build a 30-23 lead early in the second half. After the Mountain Hawks sliced the margin down to 32-31, the Mids rattled off the next five points to take a 37-31 lead on their way to building a 42-35 lead with 8:38 left to play.

The Mids then started to struggle from the field while the Mountain Hawks, who entered the game leading the league in scoring at nearly 74 points a game, found their rhythm. Lehigh went on a 9-0 run to take a 44-42 lead with 4:12 left on the clock.

That remained the score until Fenske drilled a three-point shot with 91 seconds left to give the Mids a 45-42 lead. Neither team scored on their next trip down the court, then Lehigh misfired on tits ensuing possession, with the Mids snaring the rebound and being fouled with 15.4 seconds left. Lehigh had to commit two more fouls to get over the limit, with the latter one being whistled as a flagrant foul with 12.9 seconds left. Fenske would miss, both foul shots, but was fouled on the inbounds pass. She converted both attempts with 12.2 seconds remaining.

Navy continued its strong defense as the clock ticked down, and forced Lehigh into a contested three-point shot at the buzzer that was both wide and short of the rim.
