Game Information
The Navy women's basketball team will open its 2015-16 season with a pair of road games this weekend. The Mids will first face Hofstra Friday at 5 p.m. in Hempstead, N.Y., before taking on Saint Peter's Sunday at 2 p.m. in Jersey City, N.J.
Links to live statistics from both games can be found at NavySports.com, as can links to live video of each contest. The video stream of the Navy at Hofstra tilt will be free, but there will be a $6.95 fee to access the stream of the Navy at Saint Peter's contest.
This weekend's games will begin Navy's 39th season of varsity play and its 40th campaign as a program.

About Navy
Navy is coming off a 2014-15 season that saw it tie for fourth place in the Patriot League with a 10-8 record and compile an overall mark of 17-14. The Mids advanced to the semifinal round of the Patriot League Tournament for the seventh year in a row.
Navy was tabbed to place sixth in the league this season.

About Hofstra
Hofstra ended the 2014-15 season with a 20-13 record and in a tie for third place in the Colonial Athletic Association with a record of 11-7. The third seed in the CAA Tournament, the Pride advanced to the championship game of the event where they lost to James Madison. Hofstra went on to compete in the WNIT.
The Pride were selected to place third in the CAA this year.

The Series
The lone prior meeting between the teams took place on March 9, 1982, when Hofstra defeated Navy, 77-76, as part of the EAIAW Mid-Atlantic Regional held in Annapolis.

About Saint Peter's
Saint Peter's posted a 5-26 record a year ago and placed 10th in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference with a record of 4-16.
The Peacocks, who will be opening their season Sunday against the Mids, were predicted to place seventh in the MAAC this season.

The Series
Navy and Saint Peter's have split the six previous meetings in the series. The Peacocks won the first three games, but the Mids have won each of the last three.
Saint Peter's holds a 2-1 advantage in games that have been played in New Jersey.
