| Thoughts from Stefanie Pemper | Really happy to have Sarah healthy this year on a couple levels. First, she plays the game with such grit and determination; she's a competitor. Second, she can shoot it and loves impacting the game from three. Sarah is one of our few players who excelled at a individual sport in HS (golf) and the self-reliance that comes from succeeding on your own can be really valuable in basketball. Her defense has improved and I'm excited to see how Sarah can develop this year. | Marina played big minutes last year as a defensive presence, a rebounder and a competitor. She showed glimpses of being an effective shooter with range, and someone who can run the floor, get good position and score inside. A couple of our offenses work really good when our posts pass well and Marina has that ability. She put it all together in our first road win last year at BU in a gritty second half performance. Stamina is a key for Marina to be successful. |
