Game Information
Navy will open its Patriot League season Wednesday night when the Midshipmen play host to Bucknell in Alumni Hall.

About Bucknell
The Bison travel to Annapolis having posted the same record against non-league foes as Navy did, 6-5. Included among Bucknell's losses was a defeat at No. 3 Notre Dame.

Bucknell and Navy tied for fourth place in the Patriot League during the 2015 season with identical 10-8 records. The Bison garnered the No. 4 seed in the Patriot League Tournament over the Mids due to Bucknell defeating Navy twice ---- 44-42 in OT, 51-50. Navy then posted a 60-49 victory over Bucknell in the quarterfinal round of the league tournament.

The Series
Bucknell holds a 30-28 advantage in the all-time series with Navy. The Mids hold a 15-12 advantage in games that have been played in Annapolis.

The Bison also have a 27-21 cushion over the Mids in Patriot League regular season games, with the teams splitting the 24 previous league games that have been contested on The Yard.

Navy has compiled a 13-5 record against Bucknell during the Stefanie Pemper era, which includes a 7-2 edge in games played in Annapolis. The Mids also have compiled a 9-5 record against the Bison in league regular season games under Pemper (5-2 in those games played at Navy).

A Look Back
A strong start boosted Navy to a 64-46 victory over Air Force on Dec. 21 in the final non-league game of the season for the Mids.

After the Falcons scored the opening basket of the game, the Mids went on a 14-0 run on their way to building a 20-7 advantage at the end of the first quarter. Air Force winnowed the margin down to 20-13 early in the second stanza, but Navy responded with a 13-2 spurt to give it a 33-15 cushion.

The Mids would lead by at least 12 points over the remainder of the game.

Navy forced Air Force into 32 turnovers ---- the most by a foe during the Stefanie Pemper era ---- which led to 19 points for the Mids. Navy also accrued 36 points in the paint. Four Mids scored in double figures, with Taylor Dunham's 14 points and Ashanti Kennedy's 13 pacing the squad.

A Look Ahead
Navy will play its first road game of the league season Saturday when the Mids play at Holy Cross. That game is slated to tip at 1 p.m. at the Hart Center in Worcester, Mass.

The Crusaders take a 3-8 record into a Wednesday's game at Boston U.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth online in advance of the game at NavySports.com. The Alumni Hall Ticket Office will open one hour prior to the start of the game.

USNA Vehicle Access
Vehicle access to the U.S. Naval Academy is limited to those with a Department of Defense identification card. It is suggested that everyone else park at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium ($5. per vehicle) and ride the free shuttle bus to and from the game. Shuttle bus service will begin one hour prior to tip. Note that a government issued identification card must be carried and presented by visitors ages 18 and older to the USNA prior to being allowed onto The Yard.
