CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Continuing her hot start in 2015, Navy women's lacrosse senior attack Loren Generi (Bayport, N.Y.) won her second-straight Patriot League Corvias Midfield of the Week honors, which was announced by the league office.
Generi recorded seven points on five goals and two assists along with a program-best 14 draw controls in a 16-11 win over Davidson last Saturday. The 14 draw controls are tied for the 10th-highest total with Yale's Nicole Daniggelis (vs. Sacred Heart; 2/26/14) in NCAA history. Generi previously held the program record, tallying 12 draw controls twice with the most recent coming against Lehigh on April 9, 2014. She recorded her third game this season with at least five points and 10 draw controls.
On the season, Generi leads Navy in five statistical categories, points (20), goals (13), assists (7), draw controls (40) and caused turnovers (5). Generi's 5.00 points per game and 10.00 draw controls per game both lead the Patriot League.
Navy will return to Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium to host both Villanova and William & Mary next week, beginning with the Wildcats on Wednesday at 4 p.m. then the Tribe on Saturday at 12 p.m.
