Last Game
Navy answered several charges at it made by Lafayette, including one in the closing minutes, to never trail in a 65-60 win by the Mids Saturday in Easton, Pa.

The Mids put together one of their better starts to a league game this year by scoring 12 of the first 13 points. Navy soon built a 29-13 lead before Lafayette cut it down to 31-26 with just under two minutes left in the half. Navy scored the last five points of the frame to take a 36-26 lead at the break.

Lafayette made just nine field goals in the first half, but started the second half by sinking each of its first six shots to quickly tie the game at 39-39. Navy responded by tallying the next nine points to take a 48-39 lead with just under 12 minutes left on the clock.

Navy eventually took its largest lead of the half at 59-48 with five minutes left, but Lafayette closed to within 59-54 with just under three minutes remaining. It was again a five-point game -- 63-58 --with 24 seconds left when an offensive foul on Navy's inbounds play gave the ball back to the Leopards, and they converted again with 15 seconds remaining to pull to within 63-60.

Sarita Condie was fouled and sent to the free throw line for a bonus with 14.1 seconds left on the clock. She missed the first attempt but was able to sneak in the grab the loose ball. Navy ran six seconds off the clock before Ashanti Kennedy was fouled. She too missed the front end of a bonus, but this time Justice Swett came away with the carom and the Navy took all but 1.5 seconds off the clock before Hannah Fenske was fouled. She converted both foul shots to close out the scoring.

Boston U. is coming off of a 78-71 loss to Lehigh Saturday afternoon in Boston.

The Terriers have posted an overall record of 4-17 this season and have a 1-9 mark in Patriot League games. Boston U. is in search of its first true road win of the season (0-10 overall, 0-4 vs. league foes).

The Series
Navy recorded a 61-55 win over Boston U. when the teams met earlier this season in Boston. The win gave Navy a 3-0 lead in Patriot League games played between the teams and an overall advantage of 3-1 in the series.

The lone game played in the series prior to Boston U. joining the Patriot League a year ago was a 48-46 victory by the Terriers on Dec. 30, 2011, as part of the Fordham Holiday Classic.

Navy's Chloe Stapleton is the only current player on either team who took to the court in that inaugural contest.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for youth and $3 for groups of 20 or more, and are available online in advance of the game at NavySports.com. The Alumni Hall Ticket Office will open at 6 p.m.

Teacher Appreciation Night: All teachers can show their school ID to receive FREE admission into the game.

USNA Vehicle Access
Vehicle access to the U.S. Naval Academy is limited to those with a Department of Defense identification card. It is suggested that everyone else park at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium ($5. per vehicle) and ride the free shuttle bus to and from the game. Shuttle bus service will begin one hour prior to the start of the game. Note that a government issued identification card must be carried and presented by visitors to the USNA prior to being allowed onto The Yard.

Feb. 7 Army-Navy Doubleheader
