ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Navy men's basketball team (8-14, 4-6 PL) will play at Boston U. (8-13, 4-6 PL) on Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM at Agganis Arena. The Mids and the Terriers are currently tied for eighth place in the Patriot League standings, however, both teams are only one game out of third place where five teams sit at 5-5.

Campus Insiders will produce an exclusive broadcast of the Navy-Boston U. game for the Patriot League Network. Doug Brown and Chris Spatola will handle the announcing duties and the game will be streamed live on PatriotLeague.TV and navysports.com.

Midshipmen Storylines
• After opening Patriot League play at 3-1, Navy has lost four of its last five games and is coming off a 74-65 loss to Lafayette on Saturday evening.
• Senior forward Worth Smith scored 20 points and had five rebounds and a career-best five assists for Navy.
• Senior guard Brandon Venturini knocked down four 3-pointers for 12 points.
• Navy led 60-56 with 10 minutes to play, but managed just five points for the remainder of the contest to allow Lafayette to close the game on an 18-5 run.
• Navy had a season-high 25 assists on its 28 field goals against Lafayette.
• Navy has shot over 50 percent in each of its last three games.
• Venturini is 29 points away from joining Smith in the 1,000-point club. He currently has 971 career points. Smith scored his 1,000th-career point against Holy Cross on Jan. 24.
• Venturini has made at least three 3-pointers in five straight games and has made at least one 3-pointer in 30 straight games.
• Venturini is currently tied with Michael Heary for third place in school history with 201 career 3-pointers.
• Smith leads Navy in scoring with 15.7 points per game overall and 16.2 points per game in conference games.
• Smith has only played in 11 games this season due to injuries, but has scored at least 17 points in six games.
• Venturini is second on the team in scoring at 12.6 points per game overall and 13.7 points a game in league play.
• Venturini is first in the league in 3-pointers made per game (3.1) and steals per game (2.0) during conference play.
• Junior guard Tilman Dunbar has had five assists in back-to-back games and is averaging 8.7 points.
• In conference play, Navy leads the league in assists per game (14.1) and is first in fewest rebounds allowed (28.5). Navy is second in field goal percentage (.476).
• The Patriot League is the only Division I conference with the entire standings separated by three games in the loss column.
• A win over Boston U. would give Navy its fifth conference win of the season, which would be the most since 2011. A win would also match Navy's overall win total (9) from 2014.
• Head coach Ed DeChellis is in his fourth season at Navy.

Boston U. Storylines
• Boston U. (8-13, 4-6 PL) is currently tied with Navy in the Patriot League standings in eighth place.
• The Terriers are coming off an 89-86 loss at Lehigh on Saturday.
• Boston U. had trailed by 22 points before a furious rally came up just short.
• Eric Fanning came off the bench to score a team-high 24 points for BU.
• Cheddi Mosely had 20 points and Nathan Dieudonne added 17.
• In conference play, Cedric Hankerson leads BU with 14.6 points per game, Fanning is second at 14.3, Mosely averages 11.2 and Dieudonne is at 10.7.
• Boston U. has lost six of its last seven games after starting the conference season at 3-0. Four of BU's six losses have been by five or less points.
• Boston U. won the 2014 Patriot League Regular Season championship and advanced to the NIT Tournament.
• Boston U. is coached by Joe Jones. He is in his fourth season at BU and has a record of 65-53 at the school.

Series History vs. Boston U.
• Navy will be seeking its first win in the series against Boston University.
• BU holds a 5-0 all-time lead in the series and is 3-0 since joining the Patriot League.
• Boston U. defeated Navy, 70-64, in Annapolis on Jan. 7 of this season.
• Navy had trailed by 20 points, but used a late 14-0 rally to cut into the margin.
• Hankerson scored 21 points for Boston U., while Justin Alston added 17 points.
• Smith scored 25 points and had nine rebounds for the Midshipmen.

• Navy will host Army in the annual Army-Navy Star Game on Saturday, February 7 at 2:00 PM.
