ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Fresh off a 56-52 win over #10 Army in the Patriot League Tournament First Round on Tuesday, the seventh-seeded Navy men's basketball team (13-18, 8-10 PL) will play at second-seeded Colgate (15-16, 12-6 PL) in the Patriot League Quarterfinal on Thursday evening at Cotterell Court at 7:00 PM.

The winner of the Navy-Colgate game will play the winner of the Lehigh-American game on Sunday in the Patriot League Semifinals.

Thursday's game will be streamed for free on PatriotLeague.TV and navysports.com. The game will be available on the radio on WNAV 1430 AM / 99.9 FM in Annapolis and on wnav.com with Pete Medhurst on the call. Live statistics will also be available.

Midshipmen Storylines
• #7 Navy defeated #10 Army, 56-52, in the Patriot League First Round on Tuesday.
• Junior center Will Kelly scored 13 points, blocked a career-high eight shots and grabbed seven rebounds.
• Kelly set Navy records for most blocks in a Patriot League Tournament game (8) and most blocks in a career in Patriot League Tournament games (15). Navy's 11 team blocks tied the league's tournament record.
• Junior guard Tilman Dunbar added 11 points and four assists and senior forward Worth Smith grabbed a career-high matching 11 rebounds.
• Sophomore Zach Fong broke a 50-50 tie with a 3-pointer with under one minute to go.
• Freshman Shawn Anderson had nine points and seven rebounds in his second straight start.
• Navy held Army to 35% shooting from the floor and 19% shooting on 3-pointers.
• Navy's win over Army in the tournament's first round on Tuesday was its first postseason win since 2001.
• With its win over Army, Navy broke a 14-game conference losing streak, which was the longest in the nation.
• Navy beat Army three times in 2015, going 3-0 against its rival for the fifth time in program history.
• Smith, a first-team all-league honoree, leads Navy in scoring at 14.8 points and senior guard Brandon Venturini is second at 12.3.
• Both Smith and Venturini surpassed the 1,000-point mark this season.
• Venturini ranks third in Navy history with 207 career 3-pointers. Venturini saw his streak of 33-straight games with a 3-pointer come to an end against Army. The 33-game streak is the second-longest in school history.
• Kelly leads the Patriot League in blocks per game at 1.9. Kelly has blocked 31 shots in the last eight games.
• The last Midshipmen to lead the lead in blocks in overall games was Sitapha Savane in 2000.
• Kelly has 57 blocked shots on the season, which are the 52nd most in the NCAA this season.
• Navy finished the Patriot League Regular Season in a three-way tie for sixth place at 8-10 with American and Holy Cross.
• Navy receives the #7 seed due to the head-to-head tiebreaker between Navy, American and Holy Cross. Navy split the season series with both teams, but American swept Holy Cross.
• Head coach Ed DeChellis has continued to take the program to new levels each year.
• DeChellis doubled Navy's conference win total (8) from last season (4) and the 13 wins overall are the most since winning 13 in 2010.
• DeChellis won his 250th career game on Feb. 22 against Holy Cross. DeChellis is in his fourth season at Navy.

Navy Patriot League Tournament Storylines
• Navy is making its 24th appearance in the Patriot League Tournament and the Mids have won the championship three times (1994, 1997 and 1998).
• Navy's 56-52 win over Army in the Patriot League First Round was its first tournament win since 2001.
• Navy had lost its first conference tournament game in each of the last 13 years before its win over Army on Tuesday.
• Navy is playing as the #7 seed for the fifth time.
• Navy hosted its first Patriot League Tournament game since 2009.
• Navy improved to 10-2 in Patriot League Tournament games in Annapolis and is now 5-1 against Army in the Patriot League Tournament.
• Navy's 11 team blocks against Army on Tuesday tied the Patriot League Tournament record

Colgate Storylines
• Colgate went 12-6 in the Patriot League Regular Season to place second in the league standings.
• Colgate had its first winning record in conference play in nine years.
• The Raiders lead the Patriot League in field goal percentage (51%) and 3-point field goal percentage (44%).
• Senior guard Damon Sherman-Newsome, a Patriot League First-Team selection, leads Colgate in scoring at 14.8 points.
• Senior center Ethan Jacobs, a second-team selection, is second on the team at 12.6 points per game.
• Senior guard Luke Roh was named the 2015 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year. Roh averages 9.7 points and 6.0 rebounds per contest.
• Matt Langel is in his fourth season as the head coach of Colgate.

Series History vs. Colgate
• Navy and Colgate split the season series in 2015.
• Both teams blew 15-point leads on their own home courts.
• Colgate won 65-53 in Annapolis on Jan. 17 and Navy won 70-69 in Hamilton on Feb. 14.
• In the game in Hamilton, Navy rallied from a 12-point deficit in the final 1:45 and finished the game on an 11-0 run.
• Worth Smith scored 20 of his game-high 22 points in the second half. Will Kelly had 12 points, five rebounds and two blocks.
• Freshman Bryce Dulin scored 11 points and was 3-of-3 on 3-pointers.
• Colgate is 4-2 against Navy in the Patriot League Tournament.
• The two teams last met in the postseason in 2014, with Colgate picking up a 57-51 win in the first round.
