Game Information
The Mids will take to the road for a pair of games this week, starting with a Wednesday night game in Baltimore against Loyola.

About Loyola
The Greyhounds play host to the Mids with a 5-10 record on the season and a 2-2 mark in league play. Loyola has compiled home records of 3-3 overall this year and 2-0 in league games. Thus far, the Greyhounds have won home league games against American (52-46) and Lafayette (66-65) and lost on the road to Lehigh (66-48) and Army West Point (70-37).

The Series
Navy and Loyola met annually from the 1978-79 to the 1988-89 seasons (Navy, 10-2 overall; Navy, 5-1 in Baltimore). The series was then dormant until resuming during the 2010-11 campaign (Navy, 5-3 overall; Loyola, 2-1 in Baltimore).

Navy holds a 15-5 advantage in the overall series, which includes a 6-3 mark in games played at Loyola. Since the Greyhounds joined the Patriot League two years ago, Navy has compiled a 3-1 record against Loyola with the teams splitting the two prior games that have been played in Baltimore.

The teams split a pair of close games during the 2014-15 season, with the home team winning each contest. Loyola tallied a 55-49 win in Baltimore while Navy won a 59-50 decision in Annapolis.

Six of the 11 games played since the series resumed have been decided by 11 or fewer points, with four of them being determined by single digits.

A Look Back
Navy's defense held Colgate to 10 or fewer points in each of the first three quarters to help the Mids to a 51-41 victory over the Raiders Saturday in Annapolis.

The Mids missed their first four shots from the field in falling behind 5-0, but ended the quarter holding a 14-8 lead. The Raiders closed to within three points on three occasions in the second quarter only to see Navy close the frame on a 7-2 run that gave it a 26-18 lead at the break.

Navy opened up a double-digit lead in the opening minutes of the third quarter and led by that amount over the remainder of the game.

Peri Curtis notched the first double-double of her career with 10 points and a career-high 11 rebounds to pace the Mids in both categories. Navy's bench players tallied 24 points, 10 rebounds and seven of the team's 13 assists.
