About Boston U.
The Terriers travel to The Yard with a 0-13 record on the season. Boston opened league play last week with home losses to Holy Cross (60-41) and Lehigh (73-66).
The Series
Navy has won each of the four games it has played against Boston since the Terriers joined the Patriot League for the 2013-14 season. Boston won the lone prior game in the series contested prior to it joining the league, a Dec. 30, 2011, victory during the Fordham Holiday Classic.
The Mids won a pair of narrow games against the Terriers last season, winning by scores of 61-55 in Boston and 48-40 in Annapolis.
About Colgate
Colgate enters a Wednesday night game at home against Holy Cross with a league record of 1-1 and an overall mark of 3-9. Included among the team's defeats have been losses to No. 1 Connecticut, No. 12 DePaul and Gonzaga, with a two-point victory coming over a Siena team that Navy defeated by one point in overtime.
The Raiders began league play with a 67-59 win at Lafayette before losing a 49-37 decision at home to American.
The Series
Navy holds a 36-18 advantage in the all-time series with Colgate, which includes a 22-5 lead in games played in Annapolis. The Mids also have posted a record of 31-17 in league regular season games played between the teams (19-5 on The Yard).
Navy defeated Colgate twice last season, winning a 52-50 decision on a Hannah Fenske layup at the buzzer and a 64-52 contest in Annapolis.
A Look Back
Holy Cross separated itself from Navy in the fourth quarter when an 8-0 run gave the Crusaders a 53-44 lead with 91 seconds remaining and allowed them to post a 57-49 win over the Mids Saturday at the Hart Center.
Navy had battled back from a 10-point deficit in the third quarter to close to within 45-44 with just over four minutes remaining in the game. Tricia Byrne, who had made six three-point field goals on the season â€"â€" including one earlier in the game â€"â€" connected on back-to-back triples before sinking a pair of foul shots to account for all of the eight points in the run.
The Mids sliced the margin down to four points with 45 seconds remaining, but a 4-4 effort from the foul line by Holy Cross over the game's waning seconds thwarted any further comeback by Navy.
Holy Cross shot 42 percent from the field and was 9-17 (52.9%) from three-point land while Navy made just 31.1 percent of its shots and was only 5-18 (27.8%) from three-point range.
Ashanti Kennedy scored 18 points to lead the Mids.
A Look Ahead
After playing two home games this week, the Mids will take to the road for two contests next week. That span starts with a Wednesday night game at Loyola and ends with a Saturday afternoon game at Lafayette.
