Game Information
Navy opens its 2016-17 season with a game Friday night at Wake Forest. It will be the first of two road games over the opening three days of the season for the Mids. The latter contest will be a Sunday afternoon game at Tennessee in Knoxville.

The Series
Navy will be playing its first game against both Wake Forest and Tennessee this weekend.

About Wake Forest
Friday's game will be the first meeting between the Mids and the Demon Deacons. It also will be Navy's first against a current ACC team since playing Syracuse 13 years ago, as well as just the fifth game for the Mids against a current ACC program. Wake Forest played a team from the Patriot League -- American -- last year and has played four previous games against the Patriot League.

About Tennessee
Tennessee, which will open its season Friday night at James Madison, reached the Elite Eight round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament. The Lady Vols are ranked 13th nationally in the pre-season AP poll and 14th in the USA Today poll.
