Erik Harris have been named first team Academic All-District by the College Sports Information Directors of America. The three student-athletes are now eligible for Academic All-America honors.
Worth (Valrico, Fla.) has had a sensational senior campaign leading Navy to a 5-2 record and a 4-1 mark in the American Athletic Conference after taking over for starter
Tago Smith in the opener. Worth, who carries a 3.48 grade point average while majoring in Ocean Engineering, has rushed for 618 yards and 13 touchdowns, while throwing for 987 yards and five touchdowns. The 13 rushing touchdowns are tied for the third most in the country.
Wood (Mt. Juliet, Tenn.) has been one of Navy's top performers on a young offensive line that has started to click over the last three games. The Navy offense is averaging 296.6 rushing yards per game, 444.0 yards per game and 35.4 points per game on the year, but over the last three games the Mids are averaging 44.3 points and 510 yards of total offense per game. Wood carries a 3.67 grade point average and is majoring in operations research.
Harris (Mission Viejo, Calif.), who has split time at punter with senior
Alex Barta, is averaging 45.1 yards per punt on 10 punts with a long of 63 yards. Five of his 10 punts have been fair caught, while five have been down inside the 20-yard line. He has had three punts go 50 yards or more. Harris has a 3.59 grade point average in nuclear engineering.
