Feb. 16, 2016 ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Navy senior guard Tilman Dunbar has been named the NAAA Athlete of the Week presented by Rolls-Royce for his performance in two Navy road wins last week. Dunbar averaged 20.5 points, 6.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds and had a 4.0 assist-to-turnover ratio in two games. He also surpassed the 1,000-point mark in Navy's win at Lafayette on Saturday.
Dunbar scored 20 points with six assists and had just one turnover in a 71-51 win at Loyola last Wednesday.
He followed that performance with 21 points with six assists and just two turnovers in a 74-68 win at Lafayette and helped Navy rally from a 15-point deficit.
Dunbar has become just the fourth player in school history to amass 1,000 career points and 400 career assists.
Navy (18-9, 9-5 PL) will next host Lehigh (11-14, 9-5 PL) on Wednesday.
