About Army West Point

The Black Knights have won each of their last 12 games to remain in a first-place tie with Bucknell with a 13-1 record during the league campaign. Army West Point also has compiled a 22-2 overall record on the season. The squad has posted records of 8-2 overall and 5-1 in league play in true road games this year.

The Series

A victory in the Star Game earlier this season allowed Army West Point to take a 33-32 advantage in the all-time series with Navy, as well as a 25-24 edge in league regular season games played between the teams. Army West Point also holds a 16-14 advantage in games played on The Yard.

Navy holds an 8-7 advantage over the Black Knights in the series under head coach Stefanie Pemper, while Army West Point mentor Dave Magarity has compiled a 10-9 record against the Mids.

A Look Back

Navy overcame an early eight-point deficit to Lehigh to defeat the Mountain Hawks, 62-54, Wednesday night at Stabler Arena in Bethlehem, Pa.

The home team quickly jumped out to a 12-4 lead in the opening minutes of the game. However, Navy would outscore Lehigh 32-24 over the remainder of the first half to take a 36-26 lead into the break.

Navy eventually built a 40-26 lead, but saw its cushion dwindle down to four points â€"â€" 46-42 â€"â€" by the end of the third quarter. Lehigh soon closed to within one point of the Mids at 50-49 with 5:41 remaining.

A pair of free throws and a jumper by Christina Potts boosted the Mids out to a 54-49 lead with 4:28 left. Lehigh soon made it a three-point game 54-51, but that was followed by consecutive baskets from the Mids to boost their cushion out to 58-51 with two minutes remaining.

Potts paced the Mids and set season highs in points (14), rebounds (6) and assists (5) in just 22 minutes of playing time. Peri Curtis was 6-11 from the field in scoring 12 points, while Justice Swett was 5-7 from the floor in scoring 10 points.
