CENTER VALLEY, Pa. â€"â€" Navy's Christina Potts (Fr., Orlando, Fla.) has been selected as this week's Lids Patriot League Rookie (freshman) of the Week for the sport of women's basketball. The league announced the laurel for Potts, her first such honor this season, on Monday.

Potts led Navy in points and assists on the week while ranking second on the squad in rebounds.

The week began with Potts leading Navy and setting individual single-game highs for points (14), rebounds (6) and assists (5) in the team's 62-54 victory at Lehigh. Her previous single-game highs entering the contest were nine points, five rebounds and three assists. Potts would reach double figures again Saturday when she tallied a Navy-best 10 points in a 49-34 loss to Army West Point.

Potts connected on 44.4 percent of her shots from the field (8-18) and made all six of her free throw attempts in the two games.

Navy will close out its regular season home slate Wednesday night when the Mids play host to American in Alumni Hall (7 p.m.).
