ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Navy men's basketball team (18-11, 9-7 PL) will play at American (9-18, 7-9 PL) on Wednesday at 7:30 PM at Bender Arena. Navy is tied for fourth place in the Patriot League with two games remaining.

Wednesday's game will have free live streaming on the Patriot League Network and on navysports.com. Joe Miller and Michael Heary will have the radio call on the Navy Radio Network on 1430 AM / 99.9 FM WNAV and on wnav.com. Live statistics will also be available.

Midshipmen Storylines
• Navy is 18-11 overall and 9-7 in the Patriot League.
• Navy is tied with Colgate for fourth place in the Patriot League, but Colgate currently holds the tiebreaker.
• Navy could be seeded anywhere from #2 to #7 in the Patriot League Tournament heading in to the final week of play.
• The Mids are coming off an 80-78 double-overtime loss to Army West Point on Saturday. The Black Knights scored on a tip-in with 0.7 seconds left in the second overtime period.
• Sophomore Shawn Anderson led Navy with 20 points, while sophomore Jace Hogan and senior Tilman Dunbar each had 16 points. Hogan grabbed eight rebounds while Dunbar dished out seven assists.
• Dunbar passed 2015 graduate Brandon Venturini to move into 22nd place on Navy's all-time scoring list with 1,032 career points.
• Senior Will Kelly posted a double-double against Army West Point with 11 points, 11 rebounds, three blocked shots and two steals.
• The loss to Army was Navy's fifth straight loss at Alumni Hall.
• Navy is just 5-8 at home, but 13-3 in road/neutral games this season.
• Navy is 11-2 in true road games and the 11 wins are the most in school history.
• Navy will look to extend its road win record at American on Wednesday.
• Navy currently has four players averaging double-figures scoring.
• Anderson is averaging 12.9 points, Dunbar averages 11.2, Hogan averages 10.1 and Kelly averages 10.0 points.
• Kelly has 188 career blocks and is one shy of tying Sitapha Savane for second place in program history.
• Kelly and Savane trail only David Robinson's career blocked shots total of 516.
• Kelly's 76 blocked shots this season rank fifth in program history.
• Kelly ranks 10th in the NCAA in total blocks (76) and is 15th in blocks per game (2.62). He leads the Patriot League in both categories.
• Dunbar recently became just the fourth player in program history to amass career totals of 1,000 points and 400 assists.
• Dunbar ranks 22nd in program history with 1,032 points and is seventh in career assists (412).
• Dunbar is fifth in career games started at Navy with 100, and Kelly is fifth in career games played with 121.
• The Mids lead the Patriot League in scoring defense (63.8), field goal percentage defense (.408) and rebound margin (+4.7), but the team is last in free throw percentage (.646) and 3-pointers made per game (4.1).
• Navy ranks 17th in the NCAA in scoring defense (63.8).
• Navy has already increased its overall win total for the fourth straight season under head coach Ed DeChellis (13-19 last season).
• Navy has also surpassed last year's conference win total (8-10).
• Navy's three seniors (Dunbar, Kelly and Kendall Knorr) have seen Navy increase its win total in each of their four seasons at Navy.
• A win against American would give Navy its most wins in a season since going 19-11 in 2008-09.
• Navy had sole possession of second place in the Patriot League heading in to the Colgate game on Feb. 6 and the Mids were tied for second place but held the tiebreaker heading into the Lehigh game on Feb. 17. However, Navy lost to Lehigh and Army West Point last week to fall to its current spot as the No. 5 seed.

American Storylines
• American (9-18, 7-9 PL) is coming off a 71-70 overtime victory at Holy Cross on Sunday.
• Freshman Delante Jones scored the game-winning layup with just 2.3 seconds remaining to give the visitors the win.
• Senior Jesse Reed scored a game-high 18 points and Jones finished with 12.
• Jones is the current Patriot League Rookie of the Week.
• Reed leads the team in scoring at 12.4 points per game and Jones is second at 11.5.
• After opening Patriot League play at 0-6, American has won seven of its last 10 games.
• The Eagles have won back-to-back one-point overtime games over Lafayette (60-59) and Holy Cross (71-70).
• American is last in the Patriot League in scoring offense (56.1).
• The Eagles are currently tied with Loyola for seventh place in the Patriot League at 7-9 but are the No. 8 seed due to the tiebreaker.
• American advanced to the 2015 Patriot League Championship as the No. 6 seed last season.

Series History vs. American
• American leads the all-time series against Navy, 44-39.
• American has won eight straight games in Bender Arena. Navy's last win at American was a 77-66 victory on Jan. 30, 2008.
• American defeated Navy in the first meeting this season in Annapolis, 63-58, on Jan. 27.
• Jones led American with 23 points and Jalen Rhea came off the bench to make five 3-pointers.
• Dunbar scored 14 points for Navy, while Hogan added 11 and Anderson scored 10.
• The win by American snapped Navy's six-game conference winning streak.

Looking Ahead
• Navy will close out the Patriot League Regular Season by hosting first-place Bucknell on Senior Day on Saturday at 4:00 PM.
• The Patriot League Tournament begins the following week with the first round on Tuesday and the quarterfinal round on Thursday. Navy needs one win, or one American loss, in its last two games to avoid playing in the Patriot League First Round.
