Navy returns home after playing a pair of road games last week to start a brief two-game homestand Wednesday night against Loyola.

About Loyola
The Greyhounds have dropped back-to-back eight-point decisions to Lehigh and Army West Point to see their record fall to 6-5 in league play and 9-13 overall this season. Loyola has posted a 4-8 record in games played away from Baltimore this season, including a 2-3 mark in league road games.

The Series
Navy and Loyola met annually from the 1978-79 to the 1988-89 seasons (Navy, 10-2 overall including 5-1 in games played in Annapolis). The series was then dormant until resuming during the 2010-11 campaign (Navy, 5-4 overall including 4-1 in games gamed in Alumni Hall).

Navy holds a 15-6 advantage in the overall series, which includes a 9-2 mark in games played on The Yard. Since the Greyhounds joined the Patriot League three years ago, Navy has compiled a 3-2 record against Loyola with the Mids winning both prior league games that have been played in Annapolis.

The home team has posted a 7-2 record in the series since it resumed in the fall of 2009. This includes Loyola winning a 51-38 decision over the Mids earlier this season in Baltimore.

Navy's offense was held to a season-low point total in a 51-38 loss at Loyola on Jan. 13.

The Mids took a 14-13 lead at the end of the first quarter, but despite scoring a season-low four points in the second quarter trailed the Greyhounds by just 22-18 at halftime. Loyola slowly edged its way out to a 35-25 lead midway through the third period and led by at least eight points over the remainder of the game.

In addition to their 38 points, the Mids also set season lows for field goals made (15), field goal percentage (27.3%) and three-point field goal percentage (17.4%).

Taylor Dunham scored 11 points to lead the Mids, with Peyton Winters contributing six points, eight rebounds, two blocks and one assist.

Loyola's Colleen Marshall accounted for 24 of her team's 51 points. She was 9-19 (47.4%) from the field and 4-7 (57.1%) from three-point land. The remainder of the players on both teams combined to shoot 25-91 (27.5%) from the field and 5-37 (13.5%) from three-point range.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth online in advance of the game at NavySports.com. The Alumni Hall Ticket Office will open one hour prior to the start of the game.

USNA Vehicle Access
Vehicle access to the U.S. Naval Academy is limited to those with a Department of Defense identification card. It is suggested that everyone else park at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium ($5. per vehicle) and ride the free shuttle bus to and from the game. Shuttle bus service will begin one hour prior to tip. Note that a government issued identification card must be carried and presented by visitors ages 18 and older to the USNA prior to being allowed onto The Yard. Visitors from Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico or Washington State, must produce their driver's license AND a second ID card (does not need to have a photo on it) before being admitted.
