ANNAPOLIS, Md. â€" The Navy men's basketball team (16-9, 7-5 PL) will look to get back on the right track at Loyola (8-15, 7-5 PL) on Wednesday evening at 7:30 PM. Navy is seeking a second straight season sweep of the Greyhounds.
Wednesday's game will have free live video on the Patriot League Network and navysports.com. Pete Medhurst and Michael Heary will also have the radio call on 1430 AM / 99.9 FM WNAV in Annapolis. Live statistics will also be available.
Midshipmen Storylines
• Navy is in a four-way tie for second place in the Patriot League at 7-5 with Boston U., Lehigh and Loyola.
• The four teams are three games behind first-place Bucknell (10-2) and a half game in front of sixth-place Colgate (7-6).
• Navy dropped its previous two games to Boston U. (83-72) and Colgate (58-55) and is trying to avoid its first three-game losing streak of the season.
• The Mids have dropped four of their last five games after opening Patriot League play at 6-1.
• Three players scored in double figures in Navy's three-point loss to Colgate on Saturday.
• Tilman Dunbar and Jace Hogan each scored 13 points and Will Kelly added 10.
• Dunbar has scored in double figures in five straight games, matching the longest streak of his four-year career.
• Dunbar could soon become the fourth Mid in program history with 1,000 career points and 400 career assists, joining Rob Romaine ('84), Kylor Whitaker ('86), and Erik Harris ('91).
• Dunbar currently ranks 24th in school history with 966 career points and ranks eighth with 389 career assists.
• Sophomore Shawn Anderson leads the team in scoring at 12.4 points per game and is followed by Hogan (10.6) and Dunbar (10.4).
• Kelly averages 9.5 points, a team-best 5.3 rebounds and a Patriot League-best 2.6 blocked shots per game.
• Kelly ranks ninth in the NCAA in total blocks (65) and is 15th in blocks per game (2.6).
• Kelly ranks third in school history with 177 career blocks and his 65 blocks this season rank as the eighth-most in a single season at Navy.
• Navy is just 5-6 at home this season, but the Mids are 11-3 in games played away from home, including a record of 9-2 in true road games.
• Navy's nine road wins are tied for the program record for most road wins in a season. Navy was 9-4 in true road games in 1985 and 9-3 in 1987.
• Navy's nine road wins are one shy of the Monmouth's NCAA-high 10 road victories this season.
• Navy has played stout defense all season, but has struggled lately in perimeter shooting and free throw shooting.
• Navy leads the Patriot League in scoring defense (63.0), rebounds allowed (31.0), rebounding margin (+4.5), blocked shots (3.9) and turnovers forced (13.7).
• Navy ranks 15th in the nation in scoring defense.
• However, Navy ranks last in the league in 3-point field goals made per game (3.9), 3-point field goal percentage (.283) and free throw percentage (.647).
• Navy has already increased its overall win total for the fourth straight season under head coach Ed DeChellis (13-19 last season).
• Navy is one conference win away from matching last year's conference win total (8-10).

Loyola Storylines
• Loyola enters Wednesday's game at 8-15 overall and 7-5 in Patriot League play.
• The Greyhounds are coming off a 100-99 double-overtime triumph at Army West Point on Saturday.
• Andre Walker scored a career-high 31 points against Army and sealed the win with two free throws with 3.9 seconds left in double overtime.
• Jarred Jones added 28 points for Loyola, who surpassed the 100-point mark for the first time since 2000.
• Walker is the reigning Patriot League Player of the Week.
• Jones leads the team in scoring at 14.3 points per game and Walker is second at 13.7.
• Jones also leads the team in rebounding (7.7) and blocked shots (1.2).
• Walker leads the league in free throw percentage (.839) and he was 15-of-16 from the free throw line against Army.
• Loyola has won four of its last five games.
• Loyola was 1-10 in non-conference play this season with its lone win coming against UMBC, 76-57.
Series History vs. Loyola
• Navy is seeking a second straight season sweep of Loyola.
• The Mids defeated the Greyhounds, 60-52, in Annapolis on Jan. 13.
• The Mids trailed by eight points in the second half but used a 13-0 run to retake the lead and then grinded out its fourth straight conference victory.
• Tilman Dunbar scored 15 points, Jace Hogan scored 10 and Shawn Anderson had eight points and four rebounds.
• Navy leads the all-time series, 23-6, and is 3-2 against Loyola since the Greyhounds joined the Patriot League prior to the 2013-14 season.
Looking Ahead
• Navy will next play at Lafayette (5-18, 2-10 PL) on Saturday at 2 PM.
• Lafayette sits in 10th place in the Patriot League standings.
• Navy earned an 87-61 win over Lafayette in Annapolis on Jan. 16.
