Game Information
Navy will play its 29th and final game of the regular season Wednesday night when the Mids travel to Washington, D.C., to face American in Bender Arena.

About American
American enters the regular season finale with a 4-13 record in Patriot League play and a 6-22 overall record on the season. The Eagles have compiled marks of 2-6 in home league games and 3-9 in all games played at Bender Arena.

All but three of the team's 13 league losses have come in games decided by single digits. This includes seven losses by no more than six points. Additionally, all of the team's six home league losses have been by no more than 10 points. The Eagles are narrowly outscoring their foes by an average of 56.0-55.3 points per game in home league games.

The Series
American holds a 27-21 advantage in the all-time series with Navy, including a 15-14 edge in Patriot League regular season games played between the teams. The Eagles lead the Mids in games played in Washington, D.C., by the counts of 16-5 in all games and 10-4 in league regular season games.

Navy has dropped the three games it has played at Bender Arena over the last two seasons.

A Look Back

Bucknell jumped out to an early 23-7 lead and withstood a pair of Navy rallies to defeat the Mids, 64-52, Saturday in Lewisburg, Pa.

The score was tied 4-4 when the Bison ran off the next 11 points on their way to building a 23-7 lead after one quarter of play. The margin grew to 22 points in the second quarter before Bucknell took a 35-19 cushion at the half.

Navy was able to chip the gap down to 37-28 before a 10-2 spurt led to Bucknell taking a 52-35 lead after three quarters. The Mids had one more rally in them and cut the lead down to 10 points at 57-47 with 3:28 left. Navy forced Bucknell into a missed shot, but the Mids couldn't convert on the other end of the court. That led to the Bison scoring the next five points to separate fully from the Mids.

Bucknell shot 50 percent from the field for the game and held Navy to 33.3 percent shooting. The Bison also held leads in both points scored in the paint (30-16) and second chance points (18-12).

Danielle Poblarp led Navy with 11 points, while Molly Sanders added nine.

Playoff Picture
Half of Navy's playoff future is pretty clear to understand, with half still somewhat muddled.

The easy part is that Navy will enter the tournament as either the No. 5 seed â€"â€" with a win over American Wednesday â€"â€" or as the No. 6 seed â€"â€" with a loss to the Eagles. That means Navy is assured of playing its March 7 quarterfinal round game on the road.

Where that game is to be played is the part that will not be decided until Wednesday night. Lehigh will be either the Nos. 3 or 4 seed, while both Loyola and Holy Cross could be seeded anywhere from Nos. 3-6.
