The Game
Navy and Bucknell will meet Sunday at 11 a.m. in Lewisburg, Pa., in the championship game of the Patriot League Tournament. The game between the second-seeded Mids and top-seeded Bison will be carried live on the CBS Sports Network. There will NOT be an online stream of the game. Annapolis radio station WNAV (AM-1430, FM-99.9, 1430wnav.com) will carry the game starting at 10:45 a.m. Links to live statistics from the game can be found at NavySports.com.
Navy Update
Navy won its third game in a row Friday night -- this one in in dramatic fashion -- with a 54-53 victory over No. 3 Army West Point in a semifinal round game.
Bucknell Update
Bucknell advanced to the championship game with a 69-57 victory over No. 4 American Friday night. The win was the ninth in a row for the Bison, improved their home record on the year to 15-0 and ran their home winning streak to 28 straight games (third-longest active streak in NCAA).
The Series
Bucknell defeated Navy in both regular season meetings this season and has won four-straight games in the series. The last Navy win was in the quarterfinal round of the 2015 league tournament when the Mids defeated the Bison, 60-49, in Lewisburg. Navy holds a 4-3 edge over Bucknell in tournament meetings (4-0 under head coach Stefanie Pemper). Sunday will mark the first time the teams will be meeting in the championship game.
