ANNAPOLIS, Md. â€"â€" Women's basketball player Sarita Condie (Sr., Lovelock, Nev.) has been selected as the Naval Academy Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for the span ending March 12.

Condie led Navy to the championship game of the Patriot League Tournament and was named to the all-tournament team after the Mids dropped a 79-71 overtime decision to Bucknell in the title tilt. She averaged 17.0 points per game in Navy's three tournament games. Condie connected on 10-16 (62.5%) three-point attempts and made 19-43 (44.2%) shots from the field in all during the course of the tournament.

Included in her week was her scoring a career-high 26 points in Navy's 54-53 semifinal round victory over Army West Point, a game in which she was 5-5 from three-point land and scored the deciding points on a triple with 0.5 seconds remaining, and a 16-point effort in the tournament final against the Bison when she was 4-5 from three-point range.

Navy received the Patriot League's automatic berth into the WNIT. The Mids will play Friday at George Washington in a 7 p.m. first-round game. It will be the second WNIT game for Navy in program history (2014) and the fifth post-season tournament appearance overall.
