Setting the Stage
•    Navy and Lehigh will meet for the 22nd time in school history and for the first time since 1987 when they square off on Saturday afternoon at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium (34,000). Kickoff is set for 3:30 pm and the presenting game day sponsor is AAFMAA. Navy leads the all-time series, 14-6-1, but Lehigh won the last meeting, 24-9.
• Saturday's contest marks just the fifth meeting between the two schools in the last 105 years. Navy and Lehigh met 17 times from 1889-1913 and then met four times from 1983-87. The 1889 meeting was just the ninth season of Navy football and the then-Engineers handed the Mids their only loss that year, 26-6. Navy's other opponents that year included St. John's College in Annapolis, Johns Hopkins, Dickinson, Virginia and the Washington All-Stars.
•    This will be the third time Navy has played a school from the Patriot League, the home for most of Navy's other sports, in the last four years. The Mids beat Colgate, 48-10, in 2015 and Fordham, 52-16, in 2016.
•    CBS Sports Network will televise Saturday's game nationally with John Sadak, Randy Cross and Sheehan Stanwick Burch on the call.
•    The Navy Football Insider Show will air on Thursday at 7:00 pm on WBAL Radio (1090 AM) with host Joe Miller. Pete Medhurst will also contribute to the broadcast.
•    The Navy Football Tailgate Show on WNAV Radio 1430 AM / 99.9 FM will air at 1:30 pm on Saturday with Wylie Baker and Bill Lusby.
•    Tim Murray will host the Navy Game Day Insider Show on WBAL Radio (1090 AM) starting at 2:00 pm.
•    The Navy Football Pregame Show with Tim Murray, Pete Medhurst, Tom O'Brien and Joe Miller will get underway at 2:30 pm on the Navy Radio Network, followed by game action beginning at 3:30 pm with Medhurst, O'Brien and Miller on the call on the Navy Radio Network.
•    Following the contest, Medhurst, O'Brien, Miller and Murray will recap the day's events in a 30-minute postgame show.

Game Day Festivities
•    The Navy football team will arrive at the Blue Angel on the West (Blue) side of the stadium at approximately 1:00 pm. The team will walk down the sidewalk and through NavyFest before walking to the tunnel. Fans are invited to stand on both sides of the sidewalk to cheer on the players.
•    The March-On of the Brigade of Midshipmen will start at 3:11 pm.
•    The National Anthem will take place at 3:20 pm, followed by a flyby at the end of the National Anthem.
•    Saturday's flyover features four Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornets from the "RAMPAGERS" of VFA-83 and the "GYPSIES" of VFA-32 based out of Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia Beach, Va. Piloting the lead aircraft will be Cmdr. Eric Thompson, the Commanding Officer of the RAMPAGERS, USNA Class of 2000. The two wing aircraft will be piloted by, Lt. Cmdr. Michael Farley and Lt. Cmdr. Adam Mosley, both USNA Class of 2006. The Weapon Systems Operators are Lt. Adam Collins and Lt. Joe Cotton. The slot aircraft will be piloted by Lt. Cmdr. Nathan Davey, USNA Class of 2008. The RAMPAGERS' mission is to precisely project power ashore and at sea with combat-ready aircraft and aircrew while demonstrating professionalism as ambassadors of the United States Navy.
•    There will be a parachute jumper from Team Fastrax that will be carrying an American flag at 3:24 pm.
•    Kickoff on Saturday is slated for 3:32 pm. Please note there is a chance kickoff and all activities noted above could be pushed back by five minutes if the first game on CBS Sports Network is running long. That decision will be made before the 60-minute clock starts at 2:32 pm.
•    Navy's coaches representing programs that compete in the Patriot League will be honored between the first and second quarters for winning the Patriot League Presidents' Cup. Navy captured its fifth consecutive Patriot League President's Cup, winning nine league championships during the 2017-18 season to sit atop the overall, men's and women's standings. Navy is the first institution to sweep the three titles since Bucknell in 2010-11. While it's the first time Navy has accomplished the sweep, it's the 10th time since the Patriot League President's Cup was introduced in 1990-91 that a program has swept the overall, men's and women's titles. In addition to winning five Presidents' Cups in a row, Navy also has won the trophy in six of the last seven years and has not placed lower than second in the overall standings over the last 12 years. Navy Athletics accumulated a Patriot League President's Cup-record 167.5 points to earn the overall crown. Bucknell finished second with 149 points, while Lehigh (13.75), Army (131.5) and Boston University (124.5) round out the top five. Colgate (80.75), Holy Cross (79), Loyola (75.25), American (62) and Lafayette (57.75) complete the overall standings.
•    At halftime, the Naval Academy will honor Congressional Medal of Honor recipients who are in attendance. The Congressional Medal of Honor convention is taking place this week in Annapolis.
•    The pilots from the flyover will be recognized between the third and fourth quarters.
•    Following the game, Navy's alma mater, Navy Blue & Gold, will be played as the team stands at attention in front of the Brigade of Midshipmen. It is one of the best traditions in all of sports.

Navy Rallies to Upset AAC West Favorite Memphis
•    Backup quarterback Zach Abey ran for a 3-yard touchdown in a driving rainstorm with 2:37 left, capping a fourth-quarter comeback that lifted Navy past error-prone Memphis, 22-21, last Saturday.
•    Navy trailed 21-9 before Malcolm Perry followed the Tigers' third lost fumble with a right-and-then-left, tackle-breaking, 19-yard run with 11:07 remaining.
•    After a Memphis punt, the Midshipmen moved 56 yards in 13 plays in a drive that Abey ended standing up in the end zone.
•    The Tigers got to the Navy 34 before Brady White was tackled on a fourth-down scramble with 1:26 remaining.
•    A steady rain turned a projected shootout into a conservative game of ball control. After scoring 66 points in its season opener against Mercer, Memphis struggled offensively until Darrell Henderson peeled off touchdown runs of 78 and 59 yards in the third quarter.
•    In the end, Memphis simply couldn't overcome the rain, four turnovers and a sub-par performance by White, who went 15-for-25 for 145 yards and an interception.
•    Perry ran for 166 yards and two touchdowns.
•    Abey, a starter at wide receiver, played occasionally in short-yardage situations, carrying five times for 6 yards and that very important touchdown.
•    It was an uplifting victory for the Mids, who were coming off a 59-41 blowout loss at Hawaii in their opener.
•    The Tigers trailed 9-7 at halftime after losing possession of the wet football three times and punting twice.
•    John Williams fumbled on the Tigers' first play and Sean Dykes coughed up the ball later in the first quarter. Between the turnovers, Navy kicked a field goal.
•    White finally got the Memphis offense on track with an 86-yard drive that ended with a 2-yard touchdown run by Henderson
•    Perry answered with a 7-yard score with 7 seconds left in the half.

What a Comeback
•    Navy trailed Memphis by 12 points (21-9) in the fourth quarter before rallying for a 22-21 victory.
•    The comeback marked the first time Navy has rallied from a double-digit deficit in the fourth quarter to win since 2008 when the Mids trailed Temple, 17-7, before rallying for a 33-27 overtime win in what was called the Miracle at  Navy-Marine Corps.

Hailey and Polu Come Up Big
•    Senior safety Juan Hailey stripped Memphis running back Patrick Taylor of the ball at the Memphis 29 with 12:29 left in the fourth quarter and Navy trailing 21-9. The fumble was recovered by senior defensive end Jarvis Polu.
•    It was Hailey's first-career caused fumble and Polu's first-career fumble recovery.
•    The fumble set up Malcolm Perry's 19-yard touchdown run that cut the Memphis lead to 21-16 and the Mids would eventually go on to the 22-21 victory thanks to a three-yard touchdown run by Zach Abey.

Williams Earns AAC Player of the Week Nod
•    Senior co-captain Sean Williams was named the AAC Defensive Player of the Week following his performance on Saturday against Memphis in both teams' conference opener.
•    The veteran safety led Navy with 9 tackles, including 7 solo stops and recorded 2 of Navy's 3 forced fumbles.
• Williams is the first Navy player to force 2 fumbles in the same game since Will Anthony against Air Force on Oct. 3, 2015.
•    Williams and the Navy defense held Memphis scoreless in the fourth quarter as the Mids mounted their greatest fourth quarter comeback since the 2008 Temple win in OT.

Scouting Lehigh
•    Lehigh, the defending Patriot League Champion, enters Saturday's contest with a 1-1 record. The Mountain Hawks won their opener, 21-19, over St. Francis (Pa.) before falling, 31-9, to Villanova.
•    Lehigh's offense is averaging 15 points per game.
•    Quarterback Brad Mayes has completed 31 of his 52 passes for 267 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
•    Mayes' favorite target is Luke Christiano, who has 10 catches for 75 yards. Sasha Kelsey has recorded seven catches for 55 yards.
•    Dom Bragalone leads the Lehigh rushing attack with 155 yards and three touchdowns on 36 carries.
•    Defensively, the Mountain Hawks are giving up just 25 points per game. Sam McCloskey leads the defense with 15 tackles and three pass breakups, while Divine Buckrham also has 15 tackles to go along with a tackle for a loss.

Hailing From The Keystone State
•    Navy has nine players from the state of Pennsylvania, including starting outside linebacker Elan Nash (Glen Mills).
•    Other key players on Navy's roster that hail from Pennsylvania include special teams stalwart Tory Delmonico (Beaver Falls), starting long snapper Michael Pifer (Jeannette), backup wide receiver Aleksei Yaramus (Moon Township) and backup offensive lineman Niko Yaramus (Moon Township).
