Head coach
Pat Owen will split his 14-player men's golf roster into two squads this next week, sending five players to Lewisburg, Pa. to participate in the Bucknell Invitational on Sunday and Monday, while another five-man squad will head to Burlington, N.C. to compete in the Phoenix Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.
Bucknell Invitational
The two-day, 36-hole event is set to begin on Sunday at the Bucknell Golf Club (par 70, 6224 yards) with tee times beginning at 8:00 am.
Navy Gold (Navy's "B" team) is among a 14-team field that includes Bucknell, Canisius, Colgate, Delaware, Detroit, Hillsdale, Holy Cross, Manhattan, Monmouth, Niagara, Ottawa, Robert Morris and Saint Francis (Pa.).
Temple set a tournament record with a 4-over par 564 (280-284) en route to earning the team title at the 2018 Bucknell Invitational, ousting defending-champion Wayne State by three strokes. Bucknell finished third at 573, followed by Iona (577), Fairleigh Dickinson (581) and Navy (581) in the 18-team field.
Thomas Garbee paved the way for the Mids by shooting par (72-68=140) to place fifth.

Keegan Shreves, who has not played in a tournament for the Mids this season, did play in last week's Army-Navy Star Match where he captured a 3&1 singles victory over the Black Knights' Dragon Theam.

Michael Brennan shot a 4-over 214 at The Doc Gimmler to place 18th earlier this year.

David Miccoli is seeing his first action of the season after playing in one match a year ago - the Georgetown Invitational - where he posted an 8-over par to take 28th among 70 golfers.
Phoenix Invitational
The two-day, 54-hole event is set to begin on Monday (36 holes) at the Alamance Country Club (par 71, 6867 yards) with an 8:45 am shotgun start. Tuesday's final round (18 holes) will begin at 8:00 am.
Navy Blue (Navy's "A" team) is among a 16-team field that includes Appalachian State, Drexel, Elon, Gardner-Webb, George Mason, George Washington, La Salle, Longwood, Morehead State, Ohio, Presbyterian, Radford, Temple, Towson and Wofford. Additionally, players from East Carolina and UNC Greensboro will participate as individuals.
Elon won the event a year ago by five strokes over Ohio, 843-848, while Phoenix junior William Harwood claimed individual medalist honors with a 10-under 203.

Charlie Musto leads the charge for the Mids with a team-low 70.80 stroke average. He opened the season with a 4-over par 148 to place 22nd and followed up as one of four players at The Doc Gimmler to tie for individual medalist honors with a 4-under par 206. Twice he shot under par with rounds of 68 and 67.

Thomas Garbee is nearly square with Musto, posting a 71.00 stroke average after two tournaments. The lone senior on the squad finished 25th at the season-opening Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate with a 5-over par 149. Garbee joined Musto in the tie for medalist honors at The Doc Gimmler in what marked his first collegiate individual title.

Nicholas Klock sits at 74.20 and
Ward Wilkinson is averaging 75.50.

The Mids will have a short turnaround for the next competition, the Lehigh Invitational, which is slated for Friday and Saturday at the Saucon Valley Country Club. Navy placed third among the 13-team field at last year's Lehigh Invitational, four strokes behind the winner, Iona.
Charlie Musto paced the Mids with a 5-over 149 to tie for fifth.
