Men’s Soccer Continues Run in Three National Polls

Navy has now been ranked in the top 25 for four-straight week

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy men's soccer team continues its stay in three different national rankings. The Midshipmen earned their fourth-straight ranking in the United Soccer Coaches Poll, which matches the number of rankings in program history coming into the season since the coaches' association took over the weekly poll in 1996.

In this week's United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll, Navy moved to No. 22 overall after earning 132 points in the ranking. The Midshipmen played to a 1-1 draw with Army in their lone game last week. On the season, Navy holds a record of 11-0-1 overall and it is one of eight teams in the country without a loss this season. No. 14 Missouri State is the only team in the nation with a perfect 1.000 winning percentage as it enters the week with an 11-0-0 record.

Navy is ranked 24th overall in the Top Drawer Soccer Top 25 and the Midshipmen are still inside the top 20 of the College Soccer News ranking at No. 15.

Virginia continues to leads all three rankings after also picking up a draw last week as the Cavaliers played to a 1-1 draw with Boston College to move to 10-0-1. Virginia has 666 points and 22 first-place votes to lead the United Soccer Coaches Poll.

In the regional ranking, Navy held at No. 2 overall behind James Madison. The Dukes are currently 18th in the country after collecting 207 points with a record of 9-3-1.

This week, Navy returns home to host Lehigh on Saturday at 8 p.m. Both the Midshipmen and Mountain Hawks are currently tied atop the Patriot League standings with 13 points at 4-0-1.
