•    The men's and women's swimming & diving teams will be honored between the first and second quarter for winning the 2019 Patriot League Championship. The Navy women's team totaled 941 points to win the meet by 445 points (nearly doubling Army's second-place total of 496) and the men's team tallied 1,037.5 points to close with a 256-point margin of victory over second-place Army. With the win, the Navy women's team tied the Patriot League record for the most titles won by a team in a single sport. The 2019 title was the eighth in a row and ninth in 10 years for Navy. The men's team has now tied the Patriot League record for the most consecutive titles won by a team in a single sport. Navy has placed first every year it has competed at the meet (16 years). The men's team also became the first to surpass 1,000 points in a meet since the league expanded to 10 teams starting with the 2014 championship.  Last year's Navy team held the record with 990.5 points.  Also, Navy's 2019 women's team point total was second to Navy's 2016 tally of 958.5 points.
 •    At halftime, the Drum & Bugle Corps and USNA band will perform.
•    The pilots from the fly-over will be recognized between the third and fourth quarters.
•    Following the game, Navy's alma mater, Navy Blue & Gold, will be played as the team stands at attention in front of the Brigade of Midshipmen. It is one of the best traditions in all of sports.

The Bayou State
•    Navy has one player from the state of Louisiana, starting fullback Nelson Smith (Baton Rouge).

The Green Wave own a 42-33 victory at Army and beat Houston (38-31) and UConn (49-7). Tulane is averaging 36.0 points per game under new offensive coordinator Will Hall, which ranks 24th nationally, and 473.0 yards per game, which stands 19th.
•    LSU transfer quarterback Justin McMillan leads the Tulane offense having completed 92 of his 160 passes for 1,229 yards with nine touchdowns and five interceptions.  McMillan is also Tulane's leading rusher with 390 yards and seven touchdowns on 69 carries. His seven rushing touchdowns are the 20th most in the country. McMillan is averaging 13.36 yards per completion, which is 25th best in the country. Notes from the USF Game
•    Navy held USF to just three points as the Mids and Wisconsin (49-0) are the only two USF opponents to hold the Bulls to single digits this season.
•    The three points are the fewest Navy has given up since defeating VMI, 41-3, on Sept. 22, 2012, and the fewest to an FBS team since defeating Army, 17-3, in 2009.
•    It's the second time this season Navy's defense has shut out a team in the second half (Holy Cross).
•    It marked the first time since Dec. 30, 2013 that Navy has not surrendered a touchdown. The Mids defeated Middle Tennessee State, 25-6, in the Armed Forces Bowl. Virginia did not score an offensive touchdown against Navy in the 2017 Military Bowl, but ran back the opening kickoff for a TD.
•    The Navy defense achieved its goal of a Get 6 ... the Mids forced three 3-and-outs, recorded an interception and had two fourth-down stops (downs, missed field goal).
•    Navy's five sacks were the most since posting five against UConn on Sept. 26, 2015.
•    Navy has forced eight turnovers this season (five fumbles, three interceptions). It has a turnover in every game this season except Tulsa.
•    All five of Navy's scoring plays were 20 or more yards - 67-yd run Malcolm Perry, 58-yd run Jamale Carothers, 23-yd pass from CJ Williams to OJ Davis, 21-yd run Malcolm Perry, 26-yd run Tazh Maloy.
•    Navy rushed for a season-high 434 yards on 59 carries. It's the 32nd-best rushing output in program history and the most since the Mids rushed for 484 yards against Lehigh on Sept. 15, 2018.
•    Navy's first two scores of the game - a 67-yard TD run by Malcolm Perry and a 58-yard TD run by Jamale Carothers - were the second and third-longest scoring plays of the season, respectively.
•    USF came in ranked No. 1 nationally in tackles for a loss per game (10.3), but recorded a season-low two against the Mids.
•    In six games this season, Navy has posted 41 tackles for a loss and 17 sacks. Last season (13 gms), the Mids recorded 37 tackles for a loss and 10 sacks. Navy had five sacks and five tackles for a loss against USF.
•    Sophomore fullback Jamale Carothers finished the game with a career-high 84 yards on nine carries and a TD. He came into the game with 52 career rushing yards, all coming the previous week against Tulsa. His 58-yard touchdown run was the longest run of his career.
•    Senior wide receiver OJ Davis caught his first career touchdown pass on a 23-yard completion from slot back CJ Williams. It was just his fourth career reception, second this season.
•    Sophomore linebacker Diego Fagot paced the team in tackles with 10 and posted just his second career pass breakup.
•    Sophomore kicker Ben Fee kicked off for the Mids having appeared just one other time in his career (Holy Cross). He averaged 57.8 yards on six kicks (2TB, 1OB).
•    Freshman safety Chelen Garnes picked off USF QB Jordan McCloud just before half for his first career interception.
•    Senior linebacker Walter Little broke up a Jordan McCloud pass, the first PBU of his career.
•    Senior quarterback Malcolm Perry carried the ball 22 times for 188 yards and two touchdowns. With his 67-yard touchdown run, he became just the fourth player in school history to reach 3,000 rushing yards (3,134 yds) - 4,559 Keenan Reynolds (2012-15), 4,179 Napoleon McCallum (1981-85), 3,401 Chris McCoy (1995-97). He threw his first interception of the year (KJ Sails). He reached the 100-yard rushing mark for the 14th time in his career, including 10 of his 14 starts at quarterback. The 14 100-yard rushing games by Perry is tied (Eddie Meyers, 1978-81) as the fourth most in program history.  Perry has put together back-to-back 150-yard rushing days (218 vs. Tulsa last week) for the first time since last fall when he rushed for 166 yards against Memphis and 223 against Lehigh. With his two touchdown runs, he now has 33 career rushing touchdowns which is tied as the fifth most in school history alongside Craig Candeto (2001-03). He also became just the fourth player in program history to top 4,000 all-purpose yards (4,095), joining Napoleon McCallum (7,122 // 1981-85), Reggie Campbell (4,737 // 2004-07) and Keenan Reynolds (4,606 // 2012-15).

•    Junior striker Jacob Springer finished with a career-best three sacks. It's the most sacks by a Navy player in a single game since Will Anthony had three against Tulsa on Nov. 21, 2015. Springer is the sixth Navy player since 2000 to record three sacks in a game - Anthony, Billy Yarborough vs. Arkansas State on Nov. 20, 2010; David Mahoney at Air Force on Oct. 7, 2006; Tyler Tidwell vs. Colorado State on Dec. 22, 2005 and Andrew Tattersall at Rutgers on Oct. 29, 2005. Springer has now recorded a sack in each of the last three contests and a total of five this season. The five sacks are the most by a Navy player since D.J. Palmore had 6 in 2016. Springer also turned in a season-best seven tackles and forced a fumble.
•     Junior slot back CJ Williams threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver OJ Davis. Williams is now 2 for 2 passing this season (26 yds to Jamale Carothers at Tulsa).
• Junior slot back Garrett Winn returned a career-high four punts for a personal-best 35 yards. His 17-yard punt return matched his career best (Memphis).

•    The Navy defense has forced eight turnovers in its six games this season (5 fumbles and 3 interceptions).
•    The defense has come up with at least one turnover in every game except one (Tulsa): 1 vs. Holy Cross, 2 vs. East Carolina, 1 vs. Memphis, 3 vs. Air Force and 1 vs. USF.
