CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Coming off of a complete all-around game on Saturday versus Colgate in Navy's 67-52 win, Jennifer Coleman (Fr., Richmond, Va.) was selected on Monday as the Patriot League Rookie of the Week. This is the freshman point guard's third league honor of the 2018-19 season.

In the Mids' 15-point victory over the fifth-place Raiders, Coleman filled the stat sheet as she recorded game-highs in points with 16, rebounds with 11, assists with five and steals with five. The double-double was the sixth of the season for Coleman. She was also efficient in her shot selection as she made 50 percent of her shots from the field (7-14), as well as from three-point range (2-4).

Coleman has continued her strong first season of collegiate play as she leads the Mids with averages of 12.2 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. She's the highest-scoring freshman in terms of points and rebounds in the Patriot League this 2018-19 season.

This is the third weekly award for the Navy program this season as Coleman previously won Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors on December 3 and December 24. 

Navy has a full docket of Patriot League play ahead this week as the Mids will travel to Worcester, Mass. on Wednesday for a 5 p.m. tilt with Holy Cross before returning home for a Star game showdown with Army on Saturday at 12 p.m.
