Last Year's George Washington Invitational
At the 30th Annual George Washington Invitational on the weekend of April 6-7, Navy opened the first day of competition with an emphatic 5-0 performance as the Mids swept all five events that they raced in on Friday. Taking on crews from No. 16 Georgetown, R/V Drexel and Michigan, Navy won the first through fifth varsity races. Less than 24 hours later on Saturday, the Mids repeated the 5-0 outcome with victories over Drexel (1V, 2V, 3V), Holy Cross (1V, 2V), Florida Tech (3V) and Michigan (4V/5V).
Navy scored 78 of 78 possible team points at the two-day event to tie with George Washington atop the team standings. The tie was broken on the basis of the faster first varsity eight time and Navy was awarded the Oliver T. Carr Bowl.
