CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The Navy women's basketball team saw a program-record six of its student-athletes earn spots on the 2018-19 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. Led by three-time honoree Laurel Jaunich, the Mids were represented by Montana Braxton, Cailin Duffy, Cayla Hannibal, Bianca Roach and Mary Kate Ulasewicz. 

To be eligible for the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester.

Jaunich, a mechanical engineering major posted a 3.56 grade point average during the spring, while competing in 27 games for Navy with 26 starts in the front court. The Charlotte, Vt. native has now earned Academic Honor Roll accolades in each of her first three years.

Braxton, Hannibal and Roach are all two-time honorees. Braxton, a junior forward, posted a 3.41 GPA this spring in cyber operations, while Hannibal, a sophomore guard, recorded a 3.58 GPA, also in cyber operations. Braxton and Hannibal each garnered their first honor following the 2017-18 season. Roach, the Mids' senior team captain, is back on the list after completing her academic career with a 3.50 GPA in chemistry this spring. Roach was a member of the 2015-16 Patriot League Women's Basketball Academic Honor Roll.

Duffy and Ulasewicz each are named to the Academic Honor Roll for the first time in their collegiate careers. Duffy, a freshman forward, who is studying oceanography turned in a GPA of 3.29 this past semester, while Ulasewicz, a junior guard, posted a 3.56 GPA as a history major. 

Prior to this 2018-19 announcement, Navy's 2001-02 team had the most student-athletes on one Patriot League Academic Honor Roll with five members.
