Last Time Out
After defeating Buffalo 1-0 on Thursday, Aug. 22 on the strength of Cadie Higginson's penalty kick conversion and Sydney Fortson's 18th career shutout, Navy turned its sights onto a Sunday showdown versus No. 24 LSU. Unfazed by the top-25 ranking and title of 2018 SEC Champion, the Mids battled the Tigers to a 0-0 stalemate through the end of regulation before the visitors squeaked out a sudden victory golden goal in the 101st minute of action.

For the game, Navy outshot LSU, 21-5 with a 5-3 advantage in shots on goal and a 7-1 mark in corner kicks. Five different Midshipmen were credited with shots on goal in the contest.

Navy vs. Charleston Southern (Series tied 1-1)
Friday's matchup will be the third contest between the Mids and Bucs and their brief series history ... Each team has recorded a one-goal victory as Charleston Southern won the first matchup 2-1 in double overtime on Sept. 10, 2010 in Annapolis before Navy travelled down to South Carolina the following year and returned the favor with a 1-0 win on Sep. 2, 2011 in Charleston ... In that victory, Paloma Perez scored in the 85th minute and Alexes Lopez-Shaw posted her third shutout of 2011 to lift the Mids over the Buccaneers.

Navy vs. The Citadel (Navy leads series, 3-0)
Sunday's game between the Mids and Bulldogs will be the fourth in a series that began in 2004 ... In the first matchup of the series, Navy turned in a dominant 8-0 victory at home over The Citadel on Oct. 24, 2004 before scrapping its way to a 2-1 double overtime win on the road seven years later on Sept. 4, 2011 ... Most recently, the Mids cruised to a 5-0 win over the Bulldogs in Annapolis on Aug. 25, 2013 ... An all-around effort on both sides of the ball gave Navy that 5-0 win as the team had four different goal scorers and a combined shutout from three goalkeepers.

Navy vs. Hampton (Navy leads series 1-0)
The Mids and Pirates will meet for the second time in series history on Monday ... In the first and only prior meeting between the two squads, Navy defeated Hampton by a score of 10-0 as Carin Gabarra earned her 300th career victory ... Navy took care of business on the offensive end, holding advantages in shots, 37-0, shots on net, 23-0, and corner kicks, 7-0 ... The Mids saw eight different players record a goal with Clare MacAdam and Ash Fairow each finding the back of the net twice ... In goal, a trio of keepers backstopped Navy's shutout.
