Jason "Thetan" Metzger, USNA Class of 2012.  The lead weapons systems officer is Cmdr. Patrick "Chunxxx" Baker, USNA Class of 2001. The wing aircraft will be piloted by Lt. Cmdr. Jason "Pigans" Geddes, USNA Class of 2008, and the weapons systems officer is Lt. Cmdr. AJ "AOSA" Seator.  The Blacklions are a component of Carrier Air Wing EIGHT and last deployed on the USS GEORGE H.W. BUSH in support of OPERATION INHERENT RESOLVE. Recently, the squadron was awarded the Naval Air Forces Atlantic GRAND SLAM award for 2018, signifying it as the most capable air-to-air missile employment squadron on the east coast.

•     The Navy Leap Frogs will jump into the stadium at 3:24 pm.
•     Saturday's coin toss will be conducted by Secretary of Defense Dr. Mark T. Esper.
•    Kickoff on Saturday is slated for 3:33 pm. Please note there is a chance kickoff and all activities noted above could be pushed back by five minutes if the first game on CBS Sports Network (Tulane at Army) is running long. That decision will be made before the clock hits 2:33 pm. If the game is held for five minutes, the clock will be held for five minutes at 2:33 pm.
•    The Navy rowing team will be honored between the first and second quarter for winning the King's Cup in July. The American team that was made up entirely of midshipmen from Navy's heavyweight, lightweight and women's programs found itself in a memorable contest against the highly-regarded German squad. At the completion of an ultra-competition race, the midshipmen team came out on top by ¾-length ahead of the Germans. Prior to 2019, the first and only King's Cup competition was held as the 1919 Royal Henley Peace Regatta. Founded in response to the end of World War I, six allied military crews competed for that first-ever King's Cup trophy that was presented by King George V. The six nations included, Australia, Canada, France, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States. The Australians were the first victors.
 •    At halftime, there will be a tribute video and a formal recognition of the number 27 on the turf at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in honor of 1960 Heisman Trophy winner Joe Bellino, who passed away in March at the age of 81.
•    The Naval Academy and Air Force Academy bands will also play at halftime.
•    The pilots from the flyby will be recognized between the third and fourth quarters.
•    Following the game, Navy's alma mater, Navy Blue & Gold, will be played as the team stands at attention in front of the Brigade of Midshipmen. It is one of the best traditions in all of sports.

Commander-In-Chief's Trophy
• The Commander-In-Chief's Trophy is presented annually to the winner of the football competition among the three major service academies — Army West Point, Navy and Air Force — and is named in honor of the President of the United States.
• Navy has won the trophy 10 of the last 16 years and has won 25 of the last 33 Service Academy games against Air Force and Army West Point.
• Navy has won the trophy a total of 14 times in school history: 1973, 1975, 1978, 1979, 1981, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2013 and 2015.
• When there is no clear-cut winner,  the trophy remains with the winner of the previous year's competition.  The last time that happened was 1993.
• The three-sided trophy stands two-and-a-half-feet tall and is engraved with the academy seals.  Reproductions of the three mascots — the Army West Point Mule, the Navy Goat and the Air Force Falcon — are ensconced on the respective sides of this bauble.  The trophy is sponsored by the West Point Association of Graduates, the Naval Academy Alumni Association and the Air Force Association of Graduates.
• The year in which the trophy is won is engraved on a plate gracing the respective academy's side of the trophy.
