ANNAPOLIS, Md.-- The Navy football team will play five games at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, two games at a neutral site and five road games according to the 2026 Navy football schedule that was released today by the American Conference.

Navy returns 12 starters and 46 letter winners off a team that won a school-record tying 11 games against just two losses, defeated Army and Air Force to win the Commander-In-Chief's Trophy in back-to-back years, won the Lambert Trophy for just the second time since 1963 as the best team in the East and beat Cincinnati in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl.

Navy will kick off the 2026 season at home on Sept. 5 against Towson. It will be just the second meeting between the two local teams and the first since 2008, a game Navy won 41-13.

The Mids will travel to Boca Raton (Sept. 12) for the first time since 2017 the following week when Navy takes on the Florida Atlantic Owls.  Navy won last year's meeting in Annapolis by a score of 42-32 and leads the all-time series 3-0.

After an open week, the Mids will fly to Birmingham, Ala. for a Friday night game (Sept. 25) under the lights at Protective Stadium.  The Mids defeated UAB 38-28 last year in Annapolis and lead the all-time series 3-0.

Navy will have a third-straight road game the following week (Oct. 3) as it travels to Colorado Springs to take on the Air Force Falcons in the first leg in the battle for the Commander-In-Chief's Trophy.  Navy won last year's game in Annapolis 34-31 and has won two straight against the Falcons.

The Mids will return home for the first time in more than a month on Oct. 10 as they play host to Tulsa. Navy won last year's game at Tulsa 42-23 and leads the all-time series 9-2.

Navy will travel to San Antonio on Oct. 17 for its first meeting against UTSA, which joined the American in 2023.

The Mids return home on Oct. 24 for Homecoming and will take on the Mean Green of North Texas.  Last year, North Texas handed Navy one of its two losses.

Navy and Notre Dame will meet for the 99th time in series history on Halloween at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass.  Navy has not beaten the Irish since 2016 in Jacksonville.

The Mids will play a seventh-consecutive week when it plays host to Temple on Nov. 7.  Last year, Navy escaped with a 32-31 victory over the Owls at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.  Navy leads the all-time series 11-9.

After a much-needed open week, the Memphis Tigers will come to town on Nov. 21 for Senior Day.  This will be the 13th-consecutive year the Mids and Tigers have met since Navy joined the league in 2015 and there have been epic wins by both sides in the series.  Memphis leads the series 6-5 with Navy winning the last two including a memorable 56-44 victory in 2024 in Annapolis.

Navy will travel to Charlotte the Saturday after Thanksgiving (Nov. 28) to take on the 49ers.  Navy leads the all-time series 2-0.

The American Conference Championship Game will take place on Saturday, Dec. 5 at the home of the highest seed.

The greatest rivalry in all of sports, the annual Army-Navy Game presented by USAA, will take place on Saturday, Dec. 12 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. This will be the first time the Army-Navy game will be played in East Rutherford since 2021, a game Navy won 17-13.  The Mids are 4-1 against Army all-time in East Rutherford and the Mids have won two straight against the Black Knights overall.
