1/19/2020 1:46:00 PM

ANNAPOLIS, Md.—Navy senior quarterback Malcolm Perry will be honored on Monday night at the 116th annual Philadelphia Sportswriters Dinner at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cherry Hill, N.J. The organization annually honors the Most Valuable Player of the Army-Navy game when the game is played in Philadelphia.

Perry rushed for an Army-Navy Game record 304 yards and two touchdowns in Navy's 31-7 rout of Army as he helped bring the Commander-In-Chief's Trophy back to Annapolis for the 16th time in school history.

Perry capped his career in the Liberty Bowl rushing for 213 yards and 28 carries in Navy's 20-17 win over Kansas State.  The win gave Navy a program-tying 11 wins, while Perry became the FBS all-time single-season rushing leader with 2,017 yards.

Perry will be on the dais with a Who's Who of sports icons including Connor Barwin of the Philadelphia Eagles (Humanitarian of the Year), J.T. Realmuto of the Philadelphia Phillies (Athlete of the Year), Villanova basketball coach Jay Wright (Good Guy Award), former La Salle basketball coach Speedy Morris (Living Legend), Natasha Cloud of the Washington Mystics (Native Daughter), St. Louis Blue head coach Craig Berube (Team of the Year), Philadelphia Phillies manager Joe Girardi and Temple head basketball coach Aaron McKie.
