Catching Up With Track & Field Great Leo Williams

5/18/2020 12:21:00 PM

Navy Athletics host Breanna Sorensen catches up with one of the greatest athletes in the history of the Naval Academy, Leo Williams ('83).

Williams won three NCAA Championships in the high jump (indoor twice and outdoors once), won the Penn Relays, was the first athlete to win eight Heptagonal Championships (four indoor and four outdoors) and went 8-0 against Army.  He was the high jump champion in the world games, won the silver in the Pan-American game and was an alternate in the high jump in the 1984 Olympics (finished fourth at the Olympic trials, only three got to go).

Williams is currently on the front lines in the fight against the Coronavirus with his company Clean Sweep Group, Inc. or CSGI, which is a Long Angeles-based microbial disinfectant business that uses ultraviolet light to kill viruses and bacteria.
