His 41-yard pass to Chance Warren on fourth-and-three with 23 seconds left in the fourth quarter set up the game-winning field goal by Bijan Nichols to win the Liberty Bowl, while his spectacular 32-yard catch against Air Force in the fourth quarter set up Malcolm Perry's game-winning touchdown. Against East Carolina, Williams had three catches for 117 yards and two touchdowns.
