BETHLEHEM, Pa. –– Two-time all-league honoree Maddi Sgattoni (Sr., Pittsburgh, Pa.) was named to the Preseason All-Patriot League Volleyball Team on Monday.  

Sgattoni, who earned first-team honors in 2018 and second-team accolades in 2019, was one of seven Mids named to the 2020-21 preseason squad.  She ranks seventh at Navy with 1,026 career kills and is tied for fourth place with 30 career kills-digs double-doubles.  

Also announced on Monday was the preseason poll of the league's coaches and sports information contacts for the sport.  Navy totaled 82 points to finish in fourth place among the nine league teams.

Patriot League teams are slated to play a 10-match, league-only schedule this spring.  Navy will begin the sprint to the four-team tournament by playing at preseason league favorite American on Feb. 19 and then playing host to the Eagles on Feb. 21.
