GREENSBORO, N.C. –– The first full day of competition at the NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championship in Greensboro, N.C., saw Navy's
Martina Thomas (Jr., Fayetteville, Ark.) and
Hannah Montau (Jr., Germantown, Md.) each compete in an event.
Thomas posted a time of 4:50.09 in the preliminary heats of the 500 freestyle to place 50th in the field. After the swimming events finished, Montau totaled 231.60 points to place 45th in the one-meter diving trials.
The meet continues Friday with all four qualifying Mids taking to the pool. Thomas will compete in the 200 freestyle,
Sydney Harrington (Jr., Fairfax, Va.) is entered into the 100 butterfly and both Montau and
Meghan Gerdes (Sr., Spring, Texas) are slated to take part in the three-meter diving event.
