ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Following a 3-0 start to the 2021 season, the Navy women's lacrosse team is ranked in all three national polls. The Midshipmen moved up one spot to #18 according to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA), while jumping three spots in the Inside Lacrosse media poll to #13. Additionally, the Mids entered the US Lacrosse Magazine poll, coming in at #17.
The Navy women's lacrosse team has been ranked nationally for 43 consecutive weeks according to the IWLCA, dating back to the final poll of the 2017 season.
Last season, the Midshipmen began the year ranked in all three national polls. The Mids rose to as high as #15 according to the IWLCA and #13 per Inside Lacrosse. When the season was abruptly cut short due to the coronavirus (COVID-19), Navy was ranked #21 according to the IWLCA.
