All 11 senior players were able to enter the game, combining for eight points on seven goals and one assist with 11 ground balls, seven caused turnovers, two draw controls, and a pair of saves.

"It is a wonderful celebration of our seniors who have been with our program the last four years," head coach Cindy Timchal said after the game. "We always look at Senior Day as an opportunity to give to each other. The seniors show great leadership on and off the field. It is also an opportunity for the underclass to give back to the seniors. We look at it as a giving tree. What a wonderful celebration before the game with the recognition, and Annie Maloney singing the national anthem. We got all the seniors into the game. It was a wonderful celebration for Navy women's lacrosse against a very tough Colgate team. We didn't have a lot of time to prepare for them, but their willingness to come down is appreciated. However, there is nothing sweeter than to win on Senior Day."

Offensively, Victory and Zagaja led the team three goals apiece for a pair of hat tricks. For Victory, it was her fifth hat trick of the season and the 10th of her career, while it was the first collegiate hat trick for Zagaja. Lindsay Beardmore (Annapolis, Md.) and Reagan Roelofs (Apple Valley, Minn.) added three points apiece. Beardmore netted a pair of goals to go along with an assist, while Roelofs led the team with a pair of helpers and scored a goal. Lazarides, Gil Eby (Towson, Md.), and Kasey Dietzel (Warrington, Pa.) rounded out the scoring. Dietzel's first collegiate goal proved to be the game winner for the Mids.

Defensively, the Mids caused 13 of the Raiders' 21 turnovers. Herrington paced the squad with three, while fellow senior Kwon added two. Herrington and Erin Carson (New Albany, Ohio) led the team with five ground balls apiece, while Eby, Kwon, and Christine Fiore (Dairen, Conn.) chipped in two each.

At goal, Jo Torres (Prince Frederick, Md.) earned the victory. She posted five saves in 53:39 minutes of action between the pipes, while allowing just five goals on the day. In addition, she picked up a ground ball and had no turnovers. She gave way to the senior Maloney who worked the final six-plus minutes without allowing a goal and registering a pair of saves. In addition, Maloney sang the national anthem prior to the game.

Navy jumped out to a quick 3-0 advantage in the game. The run started with back-to-back goals by Beardmore to put the Mids in front by a pair. Victory took a pass from Beardmore and buried it in the back of the net to put the home team in front 3-0. Colgate battled back with a pair of goals, but Navy countered with three straight scores. Zagaja picked up her first goal of the afternoon, while Victory chipped in her second. Dietzel intercepted a pass on a clear attempt by the Raiders, and raced into the Mids' offensive zone, burying the ball in the back of the net for her first collegiate goal. Colgate scored the final goal of the first half, but Navy led 6-3 at intermission.

In the second half, Navy used a 4-0 run to put the game away. Zagaja opened the run with a free-position goal. Eby netted a goal, giving the junior at least one score in eight consecutive games. Roelofs followed with a free-position goal and Victory closed out the run with her third goal of the afternoon. Colgate trimmed the margin with a pair of goals, but back-to-back goals by seniors Lazarides and Zagaja provided the final margin of 12-5.

Navy hits the road next week for a Patriot League South Division game against American on Saturday in Washington, D.C.
