ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Navy baseball standout
Zach Stevens (Jr., Lexington, Mass.) was selected as a College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-American, the organization announced Thursday. Stevens, a third-team honoree, garnered the honor for the first time in his career after being named an Academic All-District selection for the second time earlier this month.

The junior first baseman earned Academic All-Patriot League honors along with being named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll for the third time after compiling a 3.84 grade-point average as an operations research major.

Stevens recorded Second-Team All-Patriot League honors this past spring after hitting .300 with a team-high four home runs and 27 RBI while starting all 32 games for the Mids. Additionally, Stevens led Navy with a .500 slugging percentage and compiled a .387 on-base percentage.

Of the 33 members on the three Academic All-American teams, seven boasted 4.0 GPA's with Brendan Beck of Stanford University being selected as the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team Member of the Year.
