CHESTER, Pa. – The 10th installment of the Army-Navy Cup has been set for Saturday, October 9 in Chester, Pa., the Philadelphia Union of Major League Soccer announced Tuesday. The Navy men's soccer team will take on rival Army at Subaru Park, the home of the Union, for the 10th-straight season with opening kick scheduled for 7 p.m.
"The Army-Navy Cup is one of the most celebrated experiences of our Midshipmen's time in Annapolis and we all look forward to this wonderful event with great anticipation each season," said Director of Athletics
Chet Gladchuk. "Through the years, the opportunity to play in such an extraordinary environment, with so many fans in the stands at Subaru Park has been something our players and staff feel is one of the absolute highlights of every season and one of the more memorable moments in their time here at Navy. We plan on being a part of this enduring tradition for a long time to come."
The Army-Navy Cup has been held annually at Subaru Park since 2012 and is a Star Match within the Army-Navy Star Series presented by USAA. Army holds a slight 4-2-3 edge in the previous nine contests at Subaru Park, Navy won back-to-back contests over the Black Knights in 2013 and 2014 prior to Army recording a pair of cup victories in 2015 and 2016 while also winning the cup in 2018 and 2020. There have been three draws in the history of the Army-Navy Cup, occurring in 2012, 2017 and 2019. In 87 all-time meetings between the two programs, Navy holds a 40-31-16 advantage over Army.

The Army-Navy Cup has been one of the highest attended collegiate soccer matches throughout the country in recent history. In the nine occasions of the rivalry being played in Chester, the attendance has surpassed 10,000 on two different occasions – 10,168 in 2014 and 10,092 in 2016.
