Navy Women’s Basketball Announces Class of 2025

Krislin Arjukese and Savanna Lewis added to Mids’ roster for 2021-22

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Head coach Tim Taylor and the Navy women's basketball team announced on Thursday the addition of Krislin Arjukese and Savanna Lewis as freshmen members of its 2021-22 roster.

Krislin Arjukese – Guard/Forward – Silver Spring, Md. – The Bullis School
A three-sport athlete at The Bullis School in nearby Potomac, Md., Arjukese lettered in basketball, soccer and track & field during her time in school. Coached at the Bullis School by Amy Heinzelmann, she was honored all four years with Bullis' Sportsmanship Award, as well as with the Teammate of the Year Award three times. Known for her keen shooting from long-range, Arjukese collected Team MVP honors following the 2018-19 season when she led the squad in three-point shooting. For her prowess on the soccer field she was named Team MVP of Bullis' soccer team in 2018. Away from high school competition, Arjukese suited up for the Team Takeover Basketball club program out of Washington D.C.

Off the court, she was the Class President of Bullis' student government association and volunteered more than 100 hours as part of her school's student service learning (SSL) program. She's the daughter of Roland and Kairit.

"We are excited to add Kris to our basketball program," remarked Taylor. "Her infectious spirit and willingness to work will help her make the transition to collegiate basketball. We are excited about her ability to stretch the floor and to give us extra length at the guard spot."

Savanna Lewis – Forward – Los Lunas, N.M. – Hope Christian High School
A versatile standout at Hope Christian High School, Lewis earned varsity letters all four years at the school, while covering all five positions on the court for head coach Michael Cole. As a senior in 2020-21, Lewis garnered All-New Mexico First Team 4A honors after previously being named All-State Second Team as a junior in 2019-20 and All-Metro Second Team as a sophomore in 2018-19. Additionally, Lewis honed her skills, while competing on the club circuit with the New Mexico Clippers organization.

Away from basketball, Lewis participated in National Honor Society at Hope Christian HS. She is the daughter of Jay and Paige.

"Savanna is a long, versatile athlete that can play multiple positions," said Taylor. "She has the ability to post up and shoot the three as well as put the ball on the floor. Her length will be a factor defensively and allow us to play with a variety of lineups. I love her positive attitude and willingness to learn."
