First Half of League Volleyball Season Ends for Mids with Matches at Home on Friday and on the Road Sunday

Match Information
• Navy closes its five-match homestand Friday (6 p.m.) when the Mids (8-7, 5-1) play host to Colgate (13-3, 6-0), then takes to the road for the first of back-to-back matches away from Annapolis when they face Bucknell (11-4, 4-2) Sunday in Lewisburg, Pa. (2 p.m.)
• Bucknell plays a Friday match at Army prior to playing host to the Mids on Sunday.
• This weekend ends the first half of the 16-match Patriot League campaign.
• Both of Navy's matches will be streamed on ESPN+.
• Live statistics will be available for each match through NavySports.com.
• On Friday, fans without a Department of Defense ID card must park outside of the USNA and either walk through the gate one visitors center or ride the shuttle bus.  Shuttle bus service begins one hour prior to the start of the match.  It will depart from and return to the blue (west) parking lot at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium (550 Taylor Ave., Annapolis, MD, 21401) on Friday.

Last Week
• Navy played host to Lafayette and Lehigh last weekend in Annapolis.
• The Mids first posted a 25-10, 24-26, 25-14, 25-13 victory over Lafayette.
• Navy doubled the number of kills Lafayette had, 60-30, and held an 11-5 lead in aces.
Jamie Llewellyn recorded 17 kills and a .294 attack percentage.
Jordan Llewellyn totaled 12 kills, 10 digs, five aces and two blocks.
Maggie Bodman registered a .636 attack percentage (15-1-22).
• Navy then tallied a 25-19, 25-15, 25-19 win over Lehigh.
• The Mids totaled 51 kills and a .327 attack percentage while limiting the Mountain Hawks to 30 kills and a .194 hitting percentage.  Navy also held a 7-0 lead in aces.
Jordan Llewellyn recorded 17 kills and 11 digs.
• Hannah oover snared 18 digs and, for the second day in a row, dropped in three aces.
Ashley Warren totaled 12 kills and hit .429.
 
Next Week
• Navy plays just one match next week and it is a Saturday afternoon contest at Colgate.  That match opens the second half of the 16-match league campaign.
 
Colgate Preview
• Colgate heads to Annapolis with an overall record of 13-3 and a Patriot League record of 6-0.  The Raiders have won their last 11 matches, a run that began with a 3-1 win over Tennessee.  Colgate's losses this year have come to Villanova in five sets, USC in three sets and North Carolina State in three sets.
• The Raiders have been pushed to five sets just once in league play and that was to Bucknell on Sept. 25 (16-14 in the fifth set).  Four of their league wins have been 3-0 decisions.
• Colgate and Navy first met in 1979.  The Raiders hold a 43-17 advantage in the all-time series with the Mids.  This includes a 15-10 lead in games played in Annapolis
• Colgate also leads Navy, 36-16, in Patriot League regular season matches, a record that includes a 14-10 advantage in league matches played on The Yard.
• The teams met three times last season.  The Mids posted a three-set victory (26-24, 25-21, 25-19) in Annapolis, the Raiders won a four-set match (25-15, 27-29, 25-11, 25-20) in Hamilton and then Colgate defeated Navy in four sets (25-17, 18-25, 25-20, 25-14) in the semifinal round of the Patriot League Tournament that was played in Hamilton.
 
Bucknell Preview
• Bucknell travels to a Friday match at Army with an overall record of 11-4 and 4-2 mark in league matches.  The team had posted three league wins and seven overall victories during the entire 2021 season.
• The Bison have lost to Colgate in five sets (16-14 in the fifth set) and Loyola in four sets since the start of league play.  Bucknell most recently won a five-set match at American in which it had lost sets one and two.
• Navy holds a 37-22 edge over Bucknell in a series dating back to 1981.  The Mids lead the Bison, 17-11, in matches played in Lewisburg.
• The Mids also hold a lead of 31-21 against the Bison in Patriot League regular season matches played between the programs.  Their advantage is 17-11 in league matches played at Bucknell.
• Navy defeated Bucknell twice last season, winning in three sets in both Lewisburg (25-15, 25-21, 25-16) and Annapolis (25-13, 25-16, 25-15).
 
Jordan Llewellyn Named Player of the Week
Jordan Llewellyn was named the Patriot League Player of the Week on Oct. 4.
• She posted two double-doubles and totaled 29 kills (4.14 kps), six aces (0.86 saps) 21 digs (3.00 dps) and hit .318 Navy's victories against Lafayette and Lehigh.
• Llewellyn first registered 12 kills, 10 digs, five aces and two blocks in a the 3-1 win over the Leopards.
• She then tallied 17 kills, 11 digs and a .433 attack percentage in a 3-0 win over the Mountain Hawks.
 
Balanced Offense
• Navy has had very good balance on offense over its last four matches.
Loyola     3 with at least 10 kills / 4 with at least 22 att.
American 5 with at last 8 kills / 5 with at least 16 att.
Lafayette 3 with at least 10 kills / 5 with at least 10 att.
Lehigh     3 with at least 9 kills / 5 with at least 10 att.
 
Statistical Notes
Maggie Bodman is averaging 2.32 kills per set (51 kills, 22 sets) and hitting .430 (51-8-100) over the last six matches.
Hannah Hoover is averaging 4.55 digs per set (100 digs, 22 sets) and 0.59 aces per set (13 aces) over the last six matches.
Jamie Llewellyn is averaging 3.18 kills per set (70 kills, 22 sets) and 2.09 digs per set (46 digs) over the last six matches.
Jordan Llewellyn is averaging 3.32 kills per set (73 kills, 22 sets) and 2.73 digs per set (60 digs) over the last six matches.
