Heller Tabbed MAWPC All-Tournament

Michael Heller scored eight goals with five assists to help Navy to a 3-1 record at the MAWPC Tournament

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – The Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) announced its All-Tournament team from last weekend's MAWPC Championship Tournament and Navy's Michael Heller (Menlo Park, Calif.) was selected to the second team.
 
Heller helped the Midshipmen to a 3-1 overall record in the tournament and a fifth-place finish. The sophomore tallied eight goals and five assists to finish with 13 points in the four games. He notched at least one goal in all four contests, including a pair of hat tricks, while posting assists in three games.
 
Against Mercyhurst, Heller finished with four points, registering three goals and an assist in Navy's 21-9 victory over the Lakers. Found the back of the net against eventual tournament runner-up Bucknell as the Mids were edged 8-6 in a defensive showdown. Heller scored a goal and added a team-high three helpers in Navy's 15-11 overtime victory over Johns Hopkins before closing out the weekend with three goals and an assist in the Mids' 17-14 win over Wagner.
 
Prior to the tournament, Heller was named First Team All-Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference. He finished the season with 56 goals with 18 helpers to give him 74 total points. He had nine hat tricks on the season. In addition, Heller has notched 20 steals and 14 ejections drawn on defense. In his two-year career, Heller has tallied 91 total points on 68 goals with 23 assists.
